TEMPLATE VIDEOS FOR INCREASED TRAFFIC

(posted this with a different title but didn't see any response so... again.)
Hey guys,
I'm developing some IM videos and am realizing that production on these videos is just as time consuming as any other video I produce. Typically production of this kind could cost companies thousands of dollars but I'm hoping to be able to offer them to IMers for much less. To do this and cut down production time, I'd have to make a sort of template video and then as people order I could plug in their site name and a few key phrases of their choice. Does that sound like something that would still be appealing as a site owner?

Yes. Anytime you can save people time and money with popular marketing tools you should have a hungry market and video is a HUGE tool!

    Good luck. =)

      Oh my word.

Mike, in quickly skimming your reply, I actually read:

    Sure its viable.

The main thing you need to focus on is the quality of the production.

The days of floods of video newbies buying crappy promotional videos for their sites are numbered.

People want quality now. So if it looks good and boosts response it does not matter if it is a template or not. The problem is dry promotional videos that look like they were created by a high school student using windows movie maker and power point.

If it looks amateurish or if it lacks personality that the visitor can identify with and a message that compels action then it won't float.

That's so good to hear, Josh as a video producer yourself I'm sure you know how much work goes into those things to make a quality product. That helps give me some direction. Thanks!

I'm thinking the main need is just a fly over of what the site has to offer, rather than video delivering the actual content. Would you guys say that's accurate?

A little clarification... I definately would not call myself a producer. I don't have the patience to do all that editing.

Though I do on occasion produce and direct shoots for direct response videos... I mostly consult and provide tools for producers and publishers to build their businesses on the web :-)
