Adwords out to get me?

Granted I havent started a new campaign in a long time...

but I started a campaign yesterday and instantly google gave me 'Poor' quality score on my keywords. Now is this normal? will it go up to Ok and Great assuming I bid right and the keywords match the landing page (they do). Its been 24 hours and i'm getting impressions and clicks (5.8% CTR atm) and its still poor quality score! am i locked into this 'poor' area or will it change? should I start a new campaign and start over??

any advice from someone who has recently started a new campaign on adwords?

Cheers,
Nick

P.S- the website is Tattoo Designs for Download | Best design, picture, and art gallery online. Infinite Tattoos has Tribal, Celtic, Cross, Star, Dragon, Butterfly, and more! and the keywords is exact phrase revolving around "tattoos" . I've done my research and the landing page definately is relevant, lol.

It won't change until you change what they don't like. Take a look at What is 'Quality Score' and how is it calculated? for hints

    Don,

I've done keyword research and I am targeting the top like 130 tattoo related keywords that get traffic. All seperated in their own adgroups for related terms. Tell me how all 130 of them are considered poor quality? Have you visited the page I am linking to? It just doesnt make sense...

thanks for those links, but I've already been over them a few times and I still feel in the dark.

      Hi Slippy-

Hmm. I visited your site and it's definitely an attractive site. I see that you have many pages, but I'm wondering if Google's problem with your site is that other than the home page, there doesn't seem to be a lot of informational content. The home page mostly goes to pages where you download stuff, and not to pages that have informational content (ie - unique articles - which evidently is what floats Google's boat).

Now, I'm about as far as you get from being an adwords expert, but that's the 2 cents that I will offer. :-)

Try removing "download" and "flash" from your metadata, as they are irrelevant to tattoo's

Shorten your title tags, and remove redundant keywords from your meta, like "designs" repeated too many times.

Your "privacy policy" is a duplicate of your terms of use, so you have no defined privacy policy.

        Just 2 duplicate pages.

Your high ppc charges could be due to a poor ctr history, poor ad copy, poor keywords, poor landing page. Everything ties into eachother and google has them all included in their formula for the quality score. Each adgroup should have 4-10 highly relevant keywords with a highly relevant adcopy, i would also suggest that you try dfferent landing pages as well (if you have that option).

Google obviously is charging you the higher costs for a reason and you need to do your due diligence and fix it.

    Hope this helps,
    Magic
