Dear Warriors,

I have just registered to paypal.

About to get my card linked.

I would like to be aware of the methods of payment.

Suppose my card has a 100$ Limit & someone sends me 100@.

Will my account change to -100$?

Can someone explain to me what the best & most convenient way?

Appreciate your usual support.

Regards
#paypal

The amount of money in your Paypal account has nothing to do with how much you can spend on your debit card. There is no limit on how much money you can have in your paypal account. They simply charge fees to anyone who is SENDING you money (depending on what type of transaction it is).

The $100 limit sounds like your debit card daily spending limit.

  • I have a Paypal account and it is verified. I also have it linked to my bank account. But the best thing is I have a debit card from Paypal so I have immediate access to the money. Any money that you earn will go to your Paypal account ,and as you need it you can move it to your bank account if it is linked. But I suggest at some point apply for the debit card and then you dont have to worry about how much money goes on a card.

      No you can't.

If you link your CC to your PayPal account...then your PayPal account gets just verified.

Most likely you still have a limit. Usually it's $3,300 per year. But it's better to check your account limits.

To get unlimited, you have to select "Lift Limits". Provide some additional details and also upload copy of your ID and proof of address. Once you have done that, you can ring PayPal and say you have provided all information and want to lift your account limits. If everything is fine, PayPal will change your account to unlimited.

Is this just for personal accounts or something? I never had to do anything like that.

I simply connected my bank account/card and verified it was mine and then I was good to go.

I still dont understand this method:

Here's how to withdraw money to your credit card:
    1. Log in to your PayPal account and click My Account.
    2. Click Withdraw .
    3. Click Withdraw funds to your bank card .
    4. Enter your information and click Continue.
    5. Click Submit
So we are transferring money from paypal account to CC Card. How is that going to show on the CC Card?

Well, I don't know about the setup of your account... but here is what I have:
      1. There is CC (Visa) linked to my account as both a verification method and a "backup" payment source if there is not enough funds in my PP account
      2. I linked my bank (chequing) account to my Paypal account and I make the withdrawals to that account

Under account overview, you can see Account type: "verified" and either personal, business or premier. Then somewhere close should be "View Limits". If you don't see, you can search around do you have any limits or no. Or call PayPal. Very fast response....usually 1-2min. Just ask. Is there any receiving/withdraw limits on your account.

My account had receiving and withdraw limit $3,300 per year. Every country has their own tax and VAT system. If you go over this limit, you need to show who you are. CC is not proof of ID. Otherwise it's called money laundering and avoiding tax. You can't just earn $100k+ in 1 year, transfer it to your bank account and say "Don't worry, nothing illegal here". Your bank will call PayPal, to see what's going on. If they say that they don't know who you are....and they only have your CC number. Well, i'm 101% sure your account will get shut down until they sort things out.

Reason why i sorted out my limits, was because i live in Ireland and here you need to give your bank 24h notice if you want to take out $5k. What happens if they see me receiving $10k for example?? I might get arrested . So i just wanted to be on safe side.
My previous thread about PayPal limits is here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...al-limits.html

Looks like some people have this limit, some don't.

Edit: my account type is Premier
