Your wordpress knowledge is highly needed!

Hi WF Internet Marketers and members,

Please let me know how many pages we can make/add in a wordpress site.

I will be having 5 main menus (pages) and in these menus (pages), there would be sub menus too. But after creating 9 pages, I can't add anymore. When I clicked the add new page, I just saw a big blank space, not the interface wherein we can add and write our contents.

Please let me hear your thoughts concerning this.

Have you tried something like this before too?

Thanks,
MagicLouie

There is no limit on the number of pages in WordPress, as far as I know.

Maybe your theme has a limit...

Sounds like something is broken. Switch to the default twentyten theme and see what happens.

Theoretically, you can have as many posts/pages as you want. There is no limit that I am aware of and there are WP sites that have thousands of posts.

    I'm all about that bass.

For starters: menus and Pages are two different things - especially, since WP 3.0.
    So, please, don't mix them!

Pages can be menu items as well as everything else can be a menu item.

What you wanted to say: you are creating Pages (shown as menu items in your theme) and you are going to add sub-Pages under those main/parent Pages.

Theoretically, there is no limit regarding the number of Pages you can create.
(As we know: in theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is...)

From a practical approach, thousands of Pages, probably would slow down your blog very much. With a small and not properly set up database you can have issues even with way less Pages.

If you can not create more than 9 Pages in a WP installation... you better take a closer look at that blog.

I have your understood your main points and everything makes sense. I think this problem has something to do with the theme that I have used, the flexx theme.

Thanks a lot for this reply.

I would listen to Mr Horvath... He knows about as much as anyone I have seen when it comes to WP.

I use Flexsqueeze a lot. There is no limit in the theme to the number of pages you can have. It sounds more like you have a problem with your hosting or something is broken in your wordpress installation. Or maybe you have installed a plugin that is messing things up, that happens a lot.

May me there is some problem with your installation. Otherwise as per my knowledge, there is no limitation to pages in any of the themes either
