Question about doing a business partnership with "The Talent"
He knows nothing about marketing, could never sell his stuff on his own, and now with my help it is now online, and it's selling well.
Now that it's clear we have something here, I'm trying to figure out a way to structure a business partnership with this guy without really doing an actual business partnership.
I've done a general partnership before, and I have nothing really against it (is in fact still going well after 7 years), but I'd rather remain independent with this new venture and structure things as if I am the publisher or marketing company, and this other guy just received royalties or licensing fees or whatever you want to call it.
We've agreed on a 50-50 split, and we both think this is fair and appropriate. So is there any other way to arrange this than going into business with him as a general partnership? He seems flexible and doesn't seem to care how it's structured and is looking to me for leadership on this.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
