One Word Can Make a Big Difference

I received an offer just moments ago from a vendor promoting their affiliate program to me.

I am not sure whether to contact them or not. Here is what they said in the closing of their offer:

"If you are interesting, please contact us."

Interesting being such a subjective term, I'm unsure whether I am interesting enough to be their affiliate.

I might be too boring for them. How do I know for sure?

At any rate, I suppose what they really meant was "If you are interested, please contact us."

Now, before you shrug it off as a simple typo, it was very likely not. The entire (albeit short) message was in mangled English.

But, you can see how one word can make a big difference. And, that's why it is always best to use a native speaker to do any translation work for you. Don't rely on auto-translation tools or cheap translators that have barely a passing knowledge of the language they are translating to.

We may laugh when we see stuff like this, but how many people are laughing at our stuff when translated into foreign languages but less-than-competent translators or translation tools?
