"Gifting script" availability

INTERNET MARKETING

Does anyone know of a "gifting script"?

What I'm referring to is software that would let someone purchase a gift online (in this case, a digital download), and the person receiving the gift would be notified via email of the gift and how to receive it.

So, for instance, a Clickbank product, or a digital product paid for via PayPal, could be gifted.

I would think twice before doing this...

It's not really legal and you will be banned by paypal awful quick...

Just do a search about 'Cash Gifting' here at the forums and you will see what everyone says about them:

And, thanks for your reply regarding Jared...you understood what I meant. I would think some script programmer would have come up with a script like I described, unless there is some reason to prohibit it.

I would check with the License/TOS agreements with your product owners... I know most terms state that the "Purchaser is only allowed access to the product"

I can see many instances where your provider would not like you purchasing something and sending it to a friend through your own gift script... and would consider it piracy.

Seeing two different emails, like a paypal from email, and the recipients email can also throw up a red flag...

This might be why I can't find a script like this very easily...

Hi Jared,

Let's say I see a digital product for sale at a website, and I have a friend whom I would like to give it to as a birthday present, so I purchase the digital product and want my friend to receive it, along with a message saying it is a birthday present from me.

I've received gift certificates from friends through Amazon.com in such a format.

Is this what you're referring to?

I'm not trying to do anything illegal...the thought never crossed my mind till I read your reply.

I've been doing some searching and haven't found much so far, but I would search for 'Wish Script' as well as 'Gift Script' at hotscripts, or any other script directory...

Well, I found this, it actually does the opposite of what you said, where a user can ASK TO RECEIVE a certain gift Gift Helper Script
