A question about streaming Youtube video

I am setting up a review site and would like to embed a video in the review.

My current host does not allow streaming video (Something I would take note of if I was to do this again). I have two questions.

First: when you embed Youtube video on your site does it stream from Youtube itself?

Second: is it possible to disable the link that connects the video to Youtube? Obviously I would prefer the potential customer not be enticed away by Youtube. If that is not possible can you use the blank tag to open the link in another tab?

Thanks for the help
Dan

If you embed a Youtube video on your site then that video is playing from Youtube, not your server. So this would be fine with your host. The only problem with Youtube videos is that, as you mentioned, you can lose a percentage of your visitors back to Youtube.

To help minimize this problem you are best to remove the clickbable title of the video and related videos from the Youtube embed code.
