4 Steps - Hundreds of Twitter Followers in Hours

Here is a very short version of my Twitter Solution that I have put together. I tested and I had 750 followers within three days. I am going to rinse and repeat it this week.

Step 1 - register your account on Twitter

Step 2 - go to Twellow.com to find people with similar interests, i.e. Online Marketing

Step 3 - Once you have found the person you are interested in..say...hmmm Frank Kern, simply click on his followers then begin to follow them....click on a max 400 per day otherwise Twitter will think you are a bot. Do that for the next couple of days until you reach your max 2000 that you can follow.

Step 4 - go to Your Twitter Karma
and follow the instructions...don't worry about having to enter your twitter name and password etc..it's safe I have already checked it out..fully.

This site will tell you who you are following and who's following you. It's a bit clunky (api issues i guess) but you can then unfollow those who aren't following you. This will allow you to go back to step one and add more followers. ***edit***Wait a few days before you do step 4 to allow those who you have recently followed to follow you a back. If after a couple days or even a week then you can stop following them.

This will allow you to get past the 2000 mark that are following you and take you to that next level on Twitter.

The reason that you would want so many followers on Twitter is, every single follower is a potential customer.

About every 10th tweet that I do, I mention something about what I'm working or I link to a post on my press release writing site. The rest of the time, I'm just posting conversational Tweets - you definitely don't want to post a ton of affiliate links or talk about nothing but what you're working on.

As Dana Pointed out, and she knows what she's talking about when it comes to Twitter!

The thing that I find effective Is to engage people....for example I would post a tweet like this... Finish this sentence..I wish my iphone could... and then I will get some decent responses. It is critical to engage people along the way otherwise you are just posting useless info.

Keep in mind people want to be "infotained" and engaged.

Hey Chai, you are more than welcome! This is a great place for you to market your excellent writing skills....but as always try to add some value first, then drop in a tweet that says ....who likes great articles check out....at tinyurl...or whatever you like.

As an example I just posted a link to my page it got 29 visits and 15 opt ins in 1 hr. It's a powerful site.

I am confused on somthing here. Are the people following you? or you are following them-

man..do I love the Buck Rogers Robot...holy that brings some memories...when you mean targeted, I would just search various users in your niche in Twellow, that will produce all the necessary followers as it organizes them by interest.

i.e...search the name daveguindon (all one word) and but mostly by niche. If you go Online Marketing, or Make Money Online or Internet Marketing...you get the picture.

By the next level I mean you are only initially permitted to follow 2000 people until such time as you get 2000 followers. Once you hit that point you can start to follow more people etc.

So the name of the game is for you to be sure that if someone isn't following you after a couple of days that you don't follow them, this frees up space for those who will follow you back.

Once you hit 2000 you can follow at least 2000 more and use the same process over and over. I mean even the biggest dudes out there only have 5000 followers...but they aren't using this system!

So the next level is when you hit 2000 followers.

While having large numbers of people following you quickly seems like a good goal, its still best to actually interact with people who are in your twitter stream.

Remember twitter is like a big party, sure you could go to times square on new years eve and talk to as many people as you can, yet you may find it more rewarding to sit down at a small gathering and get to know the people instead.

Its about relationships, not raw numbers.

Going into twitter and shouting FIRE SALE isn't going to be well received and could end up getting your account shut down.

Another way to think of twitter is just like a large farm, sure you could go and fling seeds across thousands of acres.

A wise farmer will only plant as much acreage as they can tend to, planting seeds is one thing, bringing those seed to harvest is quite another.

Just 140 characters, seems so few, yet the growth of twitter says they are all you need.

Long form sales letters are great, yet when you master 140 characters nothing is impossible for you.

I think my twitter karma is bad because I get people that follow me and then they dump me the next day. Man, that's worse than people not following me at all.

Any advice as to making good posts in a limited amount of space (140 characters)?

I know this works as far as running up your follower count to impress people, but you really end up with a bunch of "fake" followers, people who auto follow everyone who follows them... rather than people who chose to follow you since they are interested in what you have to say.

There are people with way more than 5000; I've seen over 20,000.

I want to know how many sales you are actually getting through Twitter.

I was an early adopter of Twitter, and I currently have over 2,000 followers without doing too many "gimmicks" -- mostly just engaging in the conversation and posting interesting Tweets. (Twitter / ericabiz if you want to see what I tweet to keep 2,000+ followers)

I do Tweet some affiliate links, etc. The most success I've had is getting people to visit my blog and having Twitterfeed send a reminder of my latest blog posts -- I do get a good amount of traffic through that. I enjoy engaging my readers.

As far as actual sales go, however, I haven't found Twitter to be that effective. I'd argue that a list of two hundred buyers is far more effective than two thousand followers on Twitter.

I've made a few hundred dollars in total, but it sure isn't worth the time spent just in dollars. I enjoy the social interaction, and that's why I'm there, but I wouldn't Tweet just for business.

Have any of you following this method made any big sales through Twitter?

I've made quite a few sales of my products through twitter, but not through talking about them throught tweets.

I just have my product in my profile and link people to good content, they usually go "hey this guy gives me cool stuff, what's he all about?" Check out my profile, find my product and decide to buy it

Sorry I didn't get back to you until now. Yes you max out on following 2000 people hopefully half or more have followed you back, that is when you go to step 4 and clean your house a bit. Clean out the ones who aren't following you back unless you love there stuff. When you do that, it enables you to add new people in an effort to get them to follow you. From there, once you hit 2000 following you, you can begin to follow more than the 2000 threshold....

Jeff, just be yourself. Post engaging content. For example...You might post something like..kids today are spoiled, no walking to school uphill both ways like we used to, are your kids spoiled?

A post like that is engaging, tells your followers a little something about yourself and asks them to be engaged and likely will get you a response.

Being engaging and marketing are parallel activities. You just have to open up a bit and every so often you can put in a link to an offer.

That's my tactic, but I am sure there are plenty of really smart people with some seriously good tips.

au contraire my friend. These people are targeted and are niche specific. I am talking about how you communicate with them and develop the relationship prior to pitching to them.

Ever walk into a party and just start handing a business card around and telling people how great this or that is?...how long before they tell you to beat it, or just laugh at you.

Same is true online, be real first, ad some value, then your pitch may actually have some credibility.

Doesn't take long at all. I am sure there are automation tools out there, but this is a good way to get banned. 400 was an outside number.Only do as many as you feel like clicking. I suspect it wouldn't take you more than 10 minutes to add 400 people.

Like I said, they're untargeted prospects that you have to go to the trouble of spending an inordinate amount of time schmoozing to get them to become maybe, just maybe, become buyers. I'd guess it's a business model appropriate for some high end items like expensive sports cars or real estate but kind of a waste for getting an Adsense click or an affiliate product sale. You may get some 'warm fuzzies' from building a relationship but that's not putting money in your pocket.

My objective is to get people already in a buying mood to my sites and simply point them in the direction they wanted to go anyway, much like the way billboards and magazine ads work.

Another good tip is not to do a whole lot of tweets in one go EG 5 or more - try to resist doing more than a couple of tweets at once - or they will stop following you.

Anyway I got 20 followers from about 3 minutes work testing this out - will try it more later.

Not sure that I said that it was a sole source type money maker...as you will no doubt agree the object of the game is quickly becoming to push content (i.e.RSS) the more content you can push the better.

Just use it to get out there. I am sure the law of averages will work in your favor. More followers, seeing your quality information. I don't suggest using it as a primary source of income...just add some value or entertainment to people's lives and I think you will be happy with your results in the long run as part of a business strategy.

I made a 45 dollar affiliate check by just posting an auto message for this great Ebook writing product I love to promote.

Took half a second and made me money.

Every follower is a potential customer and friend. I've found a lot of new sites, tips, tricks, and perspectives from my twitter friends. I don't have a lot of relationships from it but a tip is a tip is a tip and I love trying new things!

Money+ new ideas= Worth having tons of followers on twitter!
