Is there a free guide on how to make money with twitter? My expectation is to make around $200.00 a month with it. Thank you.

The main key to make money with twitter is how to get your followers as much as possible, and then drive them to your niches such as affiliate product, cpa offers,...

Free guides on twitter are mostly useless, 99% of them are crap...

I still haven't found one that's worth anything... Let me know if you do....

I got much better results supplementing my websites with twitter accounts....

Twitter can drive alot of traffic to your website or squeeze pages. But like said in a previous post you will need to work on getting enough followers to make any progress. I myself use a auto tweet and auto friend adder program which has worked out great I added over 800 followers using this program so far. The name of the program I use is tweet tank it is worth checking it out even if you do not buy it. I wish you luck.

The key to making money with twitter is NOT focusing on making money with twitter!

It's way better to focus on building relationships with people related to your niche with twitter.

THEN, you can worry about providing valuable offers to these PEOPLE you have built relationships with.

Don't underestimate the power of a single twitter follower.

Because they all have followers too. And most of them are very close to their followers.

If a single follower likes you, this can be VERY powerful.

Not too long ago I set up a "fake" account (for testing sake) and I had 122 followers in 3 days without "tweeting" once. I created this account to show one of my marketing buddies how powerful twitter can be.
The way I drive "free" traffic with twitter, is by emailing my new followers immediately, thanking them for following and then I tell them if there interested in "xyz" check out this site, and I send them to my blog or squeeze page...depends on your intentions.
You can simply increase the number of followers you have by following others. (the majority will follow you in return)
I agree with the post above me as well, it's incredibly powerful for building relationships.

The key to making money with twitter is NOT focusing on making money with twitter!

It's way better to focus on building relationships with people related to your niche with twitter.
With a view to future profits, this is essential. So many approach Twitter with the mindset of a door-to-door salesman and don't attempt to win the support of their followers, just send messages automatically with links to promotions.

Then they complain about how difficult it is to make money with Twitter.

As well, it is not about the quantity or number of followers that you have but rather the quality. Most of those eager to follow you will be bots and other promoters who will never read your messages.

It is far more fruitful to focus upon getting followers who are live people that have an interest in your niche. They may be smaller in number but are more enjoyable to deal with and more willing to pay attention to low key marketing that they get from you.

The way I drive "free" traffic with twitter, is by emailing my new followers immediately, thanking them for following and then I tell them if there interested in "xyz" check out this site, and I send them to my blog or squeeze page...depends on your intentions.
I assume that by 'email' you mean sending a direct message. I don't know what niche you're in but I soon gave up sending these to new followers. For one thing, I realized that I could not remember one of the direct messages I had received, or who had sent it. For another, the bulk of these messages were promotions of some kind - offering free goodies if you visit their website, trying to get you to visit their Facebook page, etc. The messages are nearly all self-serving.

You can simply increase the number of followers you have by following others. (the majority will follow you in return)
You must be in a remarkable niche. The figures that I hear quoted are far less than 50%, many less than 20%. I handpick my followers and the result is still less than 50% who follow me back.

Social Networks are made to be Social on them. People go on there to have fun, not buy things. As vheissu28 just said. You need to market yourself as someone knowledgable in a niche, and for chris sake speak to your followers! Many marketers forget this and just PITCH PITCH PITCH. With social media and especially Twitter, Make friends first - and the rest will follow. The key is to get them responsive to you. My 2c

My advice is not to use those automatic products to much.

Best way to make money with twitter is to be really active behind your account.
Be social and join conversations. Talk about your niche and don't spam to much! Follow people in your niche and once in a while add an affiliate link in your tweets.

    good luck

I like to provide links to useful articles and blog posts and give little tips and will occasionally send a squeeze page link or an affiliate link. This picks up a few sales and I only have like 600 followers. Although, I don't twitter as myself, but rather as one of my products, if that makes sense...

    Good Luck

It will not be easy to make 200$ a month on Twitter. But if you have the right motivation and follow some guides you will get there.

I use Twitter only as a supplement to the marketing on my sites. I've heard of folks making a fortune with it but just haven't seen it myself and I have some awesome niches that fit into the "social" aspect of Twitter.

There just aren't enough hours in the day to do the "real" relationship building that people talk about. It's fantastic in theory but isn't going to fit in my model for now.

Before you can figure out how to make money or even what to read to learn how to make money on sites like facebook or twitter, you have to first decide on your model and what you are hoping to sell.

Personally I found early on that trying to do mass posts, automated posts etc.. were a waste of time or didn't meet my long term goals.. or I just didn't like it... (others may have a different experience.. I just sucked at it)..

I get extraordinary value though out of personal interactions, engagement and building/strengthening relationships that may never have started or aren't confined by one platform. Some of my strongest relationships with folks I see and interact with on twitter, facebook, in private and public forums.. or even seminars. It's just one channel in a vast ocean if.. that's your model and can transform those interactions into beneficial actions - profits.

To make money on social bookmarking sights you have to be in some connected or be very passionate about the product or service your selling, meaning you can't just be a salesman, you have to be on the same level as the customers who have passion for the product or service, you have to know what they know and be able to debate with them on their level, NOT a salesman level.
