Any good alternative to slideshare?
So I applied for a part time job with a local company and for some reason, they wanted me to to do a slide show in PowerPoint about myself which they wanted me to upload to Slideshare.
I contacted the guy who was doing the recruiting and arranged instead to do something which would be about my blog's niche (i.e. about personal finance). I was really happy with the way it came out and was considering linking to it on my blog but it turns out that Slideshare removed my timing and my background music, which makes it a lot less dramatic and interesting.
So I was wondering, is there any alternative to Slideshare? Is there a way for me to host them myself, either on my blog or using Amazon S3/Cloudfront and then using a plugin to link to it? I'm thinking I could add another slideshow each week for those who prefer not to read (I'm also planning to start doing videos and a podcast for the same reason).
Any advice greatly appreciated.
