Why doesn't my clickbank offer convert?

I have tried several different offers through clickbank in my niche but none of them have converted. I use article marketing in several article sites getting nominal traffic but still 10 to 15 hits a day. I have had this up for over a year now. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong just not sure what it is. I forward my articles right to the clickbank offer. Is that the problem? Should I use my own page to capture subscribers? or is the offer not appealing enough? here is the link thanks

Personally I'd change the sales page to a squeeze page offering a free report.

Then use AdWords (and website optimiser) to try out different variations / split tests.

Then you'll have yourself a squeeze page that converts well, a good list of leads and a way of selling again and again to your leads.

    Doug,

The problem with linking directly to the sales page is you aren't doing any presell, if you have 1000 people see and article and 10% clickthrough to the sales page you get 100 visitors... but if the product only converts at 1% which is possible at clickbank you make 1 sale for every thousand visitors.

If on the other hand they go to a list and you presell them and show them the benefits you can increase the sales significantly.

    Doug,

The copy is bad too and the site looks a little amateurish overall.

Consider changing the headline to something like:

"New All-Natural Process Ends Your Snoring Today"

"Your Snoring Could Literally Be Killing You. It's Time You Put A Stop To It Today."

or something like that - I don't know the details of your product or I could give you something a little better.

      Hi Doug,

I had the same problem as you. An article on the 1st pge of google for learning how to speak better english. My article still has a CTR of 13% which is bloody fantastic and something that certain writers will never achieve.

But i linked directly to the sales page. Never made 1 sale.

I then added in page that I created outlining the benefits and enticing the potential customers. This helped a lot!

But the thing that helped more than anything else was to not assume I knew what the customers reading my article wanted. I looked at things differently. So, with every product I promote, i find all major forums in that niche, and post a question asking what it is they most desire, or what is their greatest fear or what ever it is you are aiming for. Wih those replies I get an exact idea of what these customers want specifically. I then write my article accordingly and then find a product that offers exactly that. Never find the product 1st. Do it the other way round

So simple, but often forgotten about

      hope this helps

      cheers

      Rich

I would recommend you a review first, because more likely they go to the hop and then they look for a review to be convinced and they purchase trough someone else

    Great thread.

I'm not sure what Alexa means by the cookie thing?

How should he link to ensure he gets credit for the sale?

The vendor is already capturing most of the traffic that you are sending to this offer with a free report. I personally don't promote anything where the vendor is going to build a list off of my traffic.

Think about it. Your spouse is sawing wood and you get up, search the internet for a solution before you smother them to death... you find one of your articles. "Success!" you think. You click on the link and it leads you to the vendor's sales page... and there's that popup for a free report.

Well, hell... it's free and it might be enough to get me a night's sleep. I'm game!

You get the report and read it over. What's inside that report? Have you checked it out? Have you click on any of the links inside that report and followed through to see if your cookie stays intact by clicking through to the checkout page? How about 5 emails into the vendors autoresponder sequence? Why not have that customer on YOUR list? Then you can send them to other stop snoring offers in addition. Are there others out there that don't have such a leaky sales page or maybe that convert better?

What are the chances of a reader then going and searching for another solution to their problem that doesn't include your affiliate link?

BTW, you really should remove that affiliate link mydogjack

Stop Snoring is the vendors sales page
