How much would you pay for a professional video

Many people are doing video presentation of their products and services. I have a friend who is a professional award winning film editor. What price would you pay for a good presentation, animation or a short documentary?

Here's his website so you can see what type of film I am talking about

Nowdays we are talking about HD quality movies with a story.

I need some feedback from you fellow warriors

For the type of videos I think your are looking for, google 'videohive' for some price estimates. I'm unclear if you just want some animation or actual films, as the link points to computer animations. ;/

Look under warriors for hire to get an idea of what the costs are. I really didn't see anything special though on his site. If he is looking for high dollars... don't know what to tell him.

The videos that seem to be working the best for sales presentations these days are those that do not have any flashy animations or flashy graphics. Just a simple narrated powerpoint presentation works much better.

      It's pretty much niche specific.

What works for one audience may not appeal to another. You'll never get a rise out of the "World of Warcraft" niche with a PowerPoint slide show.

And the IM crowd won't sit still for a 15 second sizzle graphic.

You need to test, and you need to see what others are doing in their niches as a baseline.

The other variable your friend needs to take into consideration are the prices people charge globally. He may be the best, but if the target market is used to seeing folks price their videos at $2 a minute it may be an uphill battle pricewise.

Most of the marketers use powerpoint or camtasia studio. There are also some other online resources which are free or available for low cost. Anyway there are some niches for example those who are promoting expensive luxury items may opt in for the top quality videos. Another niche that comes into my mind is high end property sales. There are many others. You need to dig deep, do some research on the net, find other videos, see their quality, go to some freelance sites and verify job requests etc.
