Creating a small business from scratch
Around the beginning of May I had an idea to put together a small business that creates custom logos for those that want to brand their websites, business or themselves effectively. Unfortunately the only problem I have had thus far is over thinking the concept in every possible detail. This quality has it's merits however one will start to think about ways to tear down the idea.
So in an attempt to simply quiet those nagging thoughts I am following through with the idea which comes to the reason I am posting this thread. I am currently looking to create a portfolio of logos to show potential clients before they purchase.
I would like to have at least eight to ten logos to display in this portfolio and am turning to my favorite forum community for help. For the first eight warriors , I would like to create a free quality logo. This will help me in a number of way such as:
- Getting a feel for having moderate to high number of orders at one time: I have never dealt with a business that had to deal with orders so this is a new experience for myself. I know some of you do this regularly so feel free to bring your experiences to the table, you will have my eternal thanks.
- Live example: This small business is more than just a business, in fact it is the base of a new book I have in the works. Rather than just writing a book about the chosen topic, I will be able to write in much more detail by going through the steps myself.
- Exposure: Those that receive a logo will have their name, website, and service featured in the online portfolio for added exposure. In my experience sites that are featured in a portfolio or testimonial are almost always looked at. Consider it a bonus if you would.
