Tyler Durden Method - A Quick Interactive 24 Hour Case Study

What I'm doing is taking that kind of motivation and applying it to Internet Marketing.

But here's the cool part. In 24 hours I will go from ZERO to Complete product creation and see if it's possible to make money.

Here's Where You Come In

You are Going to pick the niche for me.

I want everyone in this thread to post a niche. It can be whatever you want it to be. Try not to go to hard on me though

EXAMPLE: You Could reply back, "Good luck, JBreezy.. Niche - Home Gardening."

THE 7TH PERSON THAT POSTS IN THIS THREAD WITH A NICHE WILL BE THE NICHE PRODUCT I WILL CREATE.

Nothing is predetermined. I don't have a domain, an idea, a list or any advantages other then my mind and resources.

The Goal is simply to create some sort of income in 24 hours.

This will be helpful to me, and I hope others. Through the course of the 24 hours I will be reporting back with my thoughts.

Then at the end of the 24 hours I will post my PayPal screen shot...or do some kind of Camtasia video.


PS - My background is in Ecommerce, Not E-marketing. I guess you could classify me as a "Semi-Noob" when it comes to this stuff.

Okay...did some quick keyword research on Nursing Home Aides...For the sake of this case study. I'm just going to go with something a little more mainstream. Seems that there isn't much of a demand for Nursing Home Aides.

Instead I will kinda go with Allen's suggestion..but tweak it a little bit.

kicked the adwords campaign off with some decent keywords

gonna write a ton of articles, do some videos, and a press release.

Falsifying results and giving people hope for something that is a lie is not a good thing. I don't know if your product is good or not (it might be), but your "video testimonial" is false (since the domain was *just* registered and product *just* created...it can't be true )

I think commending this is a tragedy to all who make an honest income online.

This irritates me to no end

This is exactly the type of thing that makes IM such a joke to 90% of the world...This is what causes stereotypical crap for us all to have to fight harder to come out on top of.

Let alone that it technically it is probably as illegal as falsifying testimonials...I would think...

The way I see it is this - The customers that purchase this product get a 30 day many back guarantee, so if the product they receive isn't what they were looking for then they can move on and get their money back.

You're lying to them, end of story. Doesn't matter whether they take you up on the guarantee. You're not saying, "hey, this is a lie." You're hoping they don't realize it.

How would you feel if you got marketed to in this way...with lies?

This is a "case study" I wanted to test my personal work ethic to see if I could go from NOTHING - to a respectable product in 24 hours. Actually, I wanted to even try to get 1 sale in that time period but I don't think that has happened.

The bottom line is that action is where it's at. This site will definitely make sales, and it will be an income earner for me...for many years. Any Warrior reading this right now can do the same thing.

Go to Click Bank. Get a niche. Research. Money.

My product - In this case is actually pretty solid. I have a pretty good background in physical fitness, so I have no problem writing on man boob destruction.

Yah, the testimonials are bogus, the vid is made up. But so what? I'm sure most people with common sense realize it. It's just a game. People will buy it...read it, and decide if they like it or not. If they don't i'll gladly refund them.

Hell, I'll probably get real testimonials in a couple weeks to put on the site.

Call me a Mother Theresa if you want, but I think the admittedly bogus testimonials and video alone are reprehensible.

From a pragmatic standpoint, you're damaging your own business by dragging down the industry. From an ethical standpoint, it's a complete disaster.

My opinion? Take what you've learned about your ability to get things done and harness it in an honest and ethical manner. You've proven something to yourself re: work ethic, why not direct that potential and ability in a direction that allows you to steer clear of lying and misleading to earn a buck?

I do have to side with honesty and integrity, though. That is what my entire online "mini-empire" is built on.

If you got rid of those, I do believe you would have a viable case study on your hands.

TO ALL NEW MARKETERS READING THIS THREAD - Yes, action is key to being successful. Setting goals and then meeting them as quickly as possible to get moving is important. There isn't a damn thing wrong with marketing aggressively...as long as you do it with integrity!

It's really not any harder to do business honestly! And longterm, honesty pays much bigger dividends.

To the OP - maybe you don't realize the damage you've done to your reputation? Relationships are a powerful marketing weapon. How many people here do you think are going to want to work with you now?
