Thought it was interesting/just looking at some of the ads.
Obviously pof (if you didn't know) is a dating site... but what's interested is the ads... I've read a bit how some people say they've been making a 'killing', and I suppose I can see how...
1. The ad uses some specialized programming. (I.e., if you are 25, it says 'girls looking for hot 25 year olds'), if you are 35 (since a lot of guys tend to like younger girls), it says 'young girls looking for guys over 35, are you over 35?', etc, etc, etc. (And for single dads, ads geared towards that, etc).
2. If you click the ad, goes direct to a squeeze page. One thing I thought was funny -- which is why I decided to make this post -- is the squeeze page has totally been photoshopped! At first I was looking at the picture, but then thought it was funny that the legs were so out of proportion (looks like cow legs compared to the body), then a few simply photoshop errors.
Anyways, interesting squeeze page design.
3. Then of course when you sign up, redirects you to a cpa offer (more specifically, a latino dating site, where you get a commission/% for each 'sign up' you get).
Anyways..... thought I would post this in case someone is interested in trying it out, because from some other 3rd party tools, this kind of ad seems to be converting quite well.
Seems relatively easy to do, might take you 1-2 hours to get set up.
(a) Sign up for the dating site affiliate programs.
(b) Create a squeeze page similar to this, as well as sign up for this offer to see how they are presenting it.
(c) Upload ad/test, see what kind of results you get. & Enjoy profit.
Now, of course there is probably a lot of competition here, but you can use these kinds of ads on other dating platforms, etc, to get/yield similar types of results.
