Don't even bother wasting your time with that nonsense, it's a waste of time and energy that could be better spent doing more productive things that will bear you long term income. Paid survey sites disappear like the blink of an eye. I don't know how many people I've seen get sucked into those things over the years and never get a dime.

Yup it's that bad, seriously, I've been around a long time and trust me, your time and energy could be best spent elsewhere. Why would you want to waste time doing paid surveys when that exact same amount of time can be spent media buying making more money?

Laurie is right. Don't spend your money on this "money making strategy". You are not even going to even be able to earn your money back.

You will lose your small investment and trust me when I say that you will also get very frustrated because there is no real money to be made.

I tried surveys myself when I was starting out online. I created an email specifically for the surveys and signed up for about 15 survey sites. I checked the email and the sites daily, but never made payout on any sites before I realized they were a waste of time and gave them up. Most survey sites aren't busy enough to provide surveys on a regular basis. Plus, your demographics factor into which surveys you receive so unless you are exactly what every company is looking for, you will have a hard time making money.

Hi... Stay away from survey sites, dont even try to do a research or you'll end up signing in. Even PTC(paid to click) and PTR(paid to read) sites, most are scams.

Everything they said plus...if you do manage to get a survey company that pays you in money (not points) you might earn about $6-7 an hour but that's not for 40 hours a week or anything. I tried it for a few moments in a serious way before (like the poster above) realised how stupid I was being wasting my time.

Basically, paid surveys made money for people who sell paid survey info. Big waste of time.

...and what's with this disturbing new trend of hiding the content until you go and fill out a survey? Luckily I've programmed my center mouse button as a "Back" button.

Someone is making some serious cash out of those annoying survey blockers. I have even seen one embedded into a program that I downloaded. Of course i didn't know that it was in there until i had downloaded the 600meg bu99er!

    Hi Adz,

i agree with the warriors. i tried out those paid surveys online and they pay horrible. Its the same for getting paid to read emails online. You might as well get a part time job if you are looking for some quick bucks.

BUT you could think of setting up a site that gets people to sign up to read emails online and get paid for their effort. that might make you some bucks with your "make money online" site.

    Hi everyone!

If this might help, here's a survey site that I do know of.
    esurveyspro[dot]com

They do offer a free account so you really won't need to spend much for it. A sister company of ours experienced using it and so far it's going pretty well.

But for the issues that's been mentioned here, I'm not aware of them and I appreciate members sharing it here. Thanks for the info! Everybody really needs to be extra careful nowadays.

I've had a pretty bad experience with them, half of them don't even give you a proper pay out so settle for something better imo.

Although I agree with most of the responses posted thus far that the majority of the online survey info you see utlimately turn out to be people selling an ebook on how to do surveys at home for money.

However, there are many legitimate focus groups and/or market research firms who will pay you some decent money but most are on a very irregular basis.

FocusForward is one that comes to mind - I have physically attended two local focus groups in the past 3 years. One paid $100 for 2 hours and the last one paid $175 for 2 hours of discussing with about 10 other people about whatever the research company is being paid to focus on. First was a local bank the 2nd was about global warming.

I have also received $75 for a 45 minute online survey. Several years back I received $200 for doing a weekly 5 question survey from one of the major search engines. Also, in the past 6 weeks I was contacted by another company I registered with to see if I was interested in testing a new medical device. I said as long as it did not involve any bloodletting I was OK with it - the first test item arrived 10 days later, took me 15 minutes to use and fill out the survey form and get ready for fedex (they pay, you just call). Recieved $50 for 15 minutes, then just got a 2nd device a week ago, 15 minutes again, $75 this time.

So there are legitimate companies but I would simply do a search on google for "focus groups" or "market research" companies and make sure they are well established before giving them any of your details. Also, I NEVER give my social security number until I have earned enough that they need it which is $600 I simply do not wish to provide that bit of ID until they legally need it.

What a waste of time? After doing several of them, the survey links sent reduced to one or two in a week .0 unit dollars. If you are trying to make a living out of this... Think again. But to waste time, Here you can thrive!

Do yourself a favor and read some more on this forum for ways of making money online. Start a blog, write articles, build a website, sell a product, anything but taking surveys. When you start making real money online from these ventures, you will realize how much of a waste of time those paid survey sites are.

There are definitely more ways to earn money online than through paid surveys.. They take up a load of your time, and you learn nothing from it. Whereas if you were to start taking up IM or blogging, you'd learn plenty. Time-consuming, definitely. But the results and satisfaction becomes priceless too.

You don't make good money from paid online surveys by actually doing the surveys -- you make the Big Bucks by referring other members.

And the best way to refer other members is by organic traffic from the serp's.

I used to do paid surveys when I started out, and made the payout several times. It is pissible to make money with them, but it is usually a very small return for the amount of time you spend on them.

    If you do use them...

    1. Do NOT waste your time. Plan a set amount of time for doing surveys, and stick to it.

    2. Be honest when filling out your profile. You never know what a particualr survey is looking for, so don't try to fool them.

    3. Be consistent. One thing I found was that the more surveys I did, the more surveys I had access to.

    4. Read all of the terms and conditions to fid out what the payout limit is, and HOW the payouts are made. Some companies have a high payout, and others will pay in gift cards as opposed to cash.

    5. Pursue other methods of making money online.

    6. Think of surveys as something extra. They are NOT a serious way of making serious money online.

I found SurveySavvy to be the best (though they may have changed), and the surveys at MyPoints to be the worst (they may have changed as well).

With all of that being said...I am not recommending that you DO surveys, but if you INSIST, then the tips above should help.

    All the best,
    Michael

I used mindspaysurvey a few months ago. it took well over a month before i got paypaled what they owed me but they paid...also theres only enough surveys on the site for about maybe 8 hours of steady work but for me it was a quick easy $140. It paid my electric/cable bill for the following month so I'm not mad at them.

It would be nothing but wasting your time and efforts. I think that it would be better if you just avoid those. From my last couple of years experience i would like to say that we should not judge any book by it's cover. The cover of any book would be attractive. But it would not guarantee you that the materials would also be good.

Don't mess with any paid online surveys. They will have you fill out so much information, and then make you take the survey... and then say that you're not qualified to participate in any of their "paid" surveys.
