YouTube crackdown. Can this be done? Any experience?

Note: This question isn't to try to do anything to game YT in anyway or do anything spammy. The intent is to try to stay within it's terms of service. It’s also not related to making money niche or other niches that YT doesn’t like.

Here is the scenario. You create an informational type video for an offline type of business to educate it’s customers. It’s your video. You have the rights to the music, images, etc. to there are no problems with copyrights.

Can the same video be uploaded multiple times for different businesses in different locations?

I thought you could because the title, description, tags would be different for each specific business and location.

But it would be the exact same videos so now I’m not sure.

Of course you could just customize each video a little to make it unique but do you have to?

Has anyone had any experience doing this? If so, did you put each video in a different channel or were they in the same channel?

Thanks, RMX

Yes, that is possible and should not be a problem at all provided that the video is still relevant.

If Youtube would consider it spamming you're out of luck but. You have to judge that before uploading the video.

My suggestion: make the videos unique by adding an intro picture for each city etc. That way they are truly unique even if a lot of the content is similar.

From the google support pages, uploading the same video twice might result in an error

Can I uploading the same private video twice? Three times? A lot of time? so that more than 50 people can view it? - YouTube Help

Awhile back youtube was supposed to have a policy where they were going to remove duplicate videos. This was to stop people from uploading the same lady gaga video 10,000 times, or the same video game video 100 times. Youtube said they were going to be removing duplicate videos, and videos of low quality.

But I do not know what ever happened to that policy.

Thanks. It's hard to know for sure.

I was hoping I could create a generic video and use it for several clients without having to alter the video itself.

I can understand the problem uploading the exact same video several times from the same channel but it they shouldn't be blocked uploading from each clients channel.

I'm more concerned about the accounts being suspended or something for violating some or some new g**gle crackdown that considers some kind of duplicate videos to be spam.
