If you could have the knowledge of ONE thing in IM (Don't cheat yourself),
What WOULD it be?

No generic statements alright? (Eg. I want to make a 6 figure income, I want to work online without doing anything, I want to automate my business completely)

    How to get search engine results that rock hard, and to be able to do it consistently over 100's of sites, with a repeatable result.

    It's served me very well to say the least.

    It all started by just taking action at the very start of SEO and learning my way from there.

    Speaking more realistically, I wish I had the knowledge to find investors for some of my marketing ideas. Top level marketing ideas here, not low hanging fruit, or even ideas that rely on SEO.

    I have a whole notebook of big brand ideas I would love to implement, but simply don't have the money to embark on such.

    SEO === easy for us now...

    Media buying.... different game..

    What I can tell you is the instinct, comes from 1000's of hours of doing. I've been hunting down media "moguls" so I can find out a bit more on it..... and every time the answer is close to this....

    Find traffic, put up an offer, split test..... and keep testing.

    So I'm starting down that path, it takes work, money and patience.

    I'll vote gaming google, and, any other search engine algo would be the holy grail. However, if I had to choose, i'd rather persuade with copy 100% of the time, I could send a letter to anyone, and, get a "yes", so, that is more powerful than google algo.

    I'll just send a note to an algo guy and say, "hey get me ranked number one for free", in my copy, and, they'll say, "no problem",lol.

    Realistically, I'd want a blueprint a blueprint with TESTED methods for converting every last customer. I'm still testing between minisites > squeeze pages > sales pages > upsells and the list of things to do is never ending.

    At the moment, I just do it "good enough" and move onto the next thing.

    I would want to know the exact formula behind Google's algorithm and everything we can and can't do in SEO instead of assuming what is right or wrong. I don't want their formula for right now, I want it forever (or until another search engine take Google's place as #1).

    If I can't have that, I would want to know the perfect selling techniques. I'm not talking about converting at some high percentage. I'm talking about every person I contact or views a site of mine converts. 100% conversion without fail.

    Either one of those would just make my day

    That is an easy one for me. I have all the tools after 12 plus years of marketing and can get all the information I want concerning any topic. What a person needs more than anything else is a integrated social email marketing network platform. A platform that can be used to do any kind of marketing online and the instructions and training on how to do it from the best. I would want this to be a platform that got established early and has been ahead of the curve and is maintaining the consistency of updating it's information. I would want this all under one roof of operation.

    Googles algo? Easy.......Check opposition stats for backlinks and ensure its reasonably easy to beat. Then write content for humans, original and regularly updated.

    Good backlinks + original, quality, regular content = high SERPS

    Can do design, SEO and other IM related stuff and altho I don't like to brag about it I'm pretty good at it. BUT the skill I'd love to master (reading like crazy on it, but I still at the moment) is... writing
    Sales Letter/review/articles writing - this is the one that stops me from a lot of projects and from my experience so far it's the toughest art to master. And the most profitable if you asked me...

    I think I'd go for copywriting. IM fundamentally is about selling, and one of the most important skills you can have when selling is persuasion. There's so much that goes on when writing good copy, from understanding what drives your customers i.e. customer psychology, to knowing what their objections are and how to overcome each of them. To become a good copywriter you have to read a lot and write a lot, and so if ever there's a skill that I can acquire in a fast amount of time, it'd be copywriting.

    This one is easy to me...

    I would want the ability to know what every potential customer of mine in each of my niches is looking for exactly...be it content, answers to questions, information, products...etc etc.

    Everything else being equal this to me is the most important piece of the pie that eludes most of us in one way or another. Most times a good marketer will eventually figure out what the majority of their customers want but to be able to enter any niche and instantly know without a shadow of a doubt...that would lead you to fortune and fame, not to mention actually helping a few people along the way
