Do self-promoting articles get picked up and shared?
By self promoting, I am just referring to an outgoing link to the website, not actual self-promoting through the article. I want my articles to be real useful and informative and not about my website and how good my product is.
I'm just finishing a new e-commerce website that sells real goods that I will stock and ship. Its a small-sub niche but nonetheless, people are searching and buying my product.
I would like to be able to create articles that actually have a chance to be picked up and syndicated. With your experience, can an article that has any self-promotion of the website actually get picked up and distributed?
Will blogs/magazine type sites and similar share an article that links out to the website that sells that particular product?
I want to create quality content that is actually useful, helpful, etc. In a way I want to create and/or add to the growing trend for my product.
I guess I want the most bang for buck, but not sure how to distribute my content without appearing spammy.
Not sure if I made myself clear, I am frustrated on where to start with this.
Thanks
