Internet Marketing Terminlogy

Hello Everybody

I am completely new to Internet Marketing. However, I have been researching and looking on the Warrior Forums and because I am new I find the different terms overwhelming. Can anyone point me in the direction of resources to break it all down?

    Selling = You need to sell something. That could be a digital product, a physical product, a service, or traffic.

    Traffic = Visitors to your website(s) or webpage(s), ad(s), or video(s).

    Offer = What you are selling or wanting people to do.

    Conversion = You'll need to get people to act on or buy your offer(s).

    You need to sell something. That means an offer. You need traffic, and you need people to accept your offer(s) to get conversions.

    All the rest is just hair on the dog.

    I'll let the others complicate it beyond that.

    To point you towards anything that breaks it ALL down is not possible as far as I know. The term "Internet Marketing" pertains to such a huge number of things, I think it may be possible to spontaneously combust if you were to try and consume it all in one go. Let that be a warning to all, don't burst into flames...take your time and decide on ONE AVENUE OF INTEREST!!!

    Great place to start reading...

    allinone - WarriorForum - Internet Marketing Forums - Threads Tagged with allinone

    Hope that helps you get started.

    In my opinion the first step to embarking on the Internet Marketing adventure is to first analyze yourself. Look inwards and identify what you have to offer, what you are good at, what you enjoy talking about, reading about etc etc. Then, ponder how you might turn that into a service right here on the forum.

    For example- if your a dog lover and you just can't get enough learning about and talking about dogs. Put together a PLR article pack with fresh well researched and well written articles about dog training, dog care, dog toys dogs dogs dogs! Offer it up here on the forum and who knows what could come of it. Not only would you be saturating your brain with dog knowledge but you will be providing a service and hopefully making a profit. Translate your efforts down the line into your first website! (Just make sure you write new articles and don't lazily post content you sold)

    The point here is...just find a route and begin. Much of the required learning falls into place as you go, as it becomes a necessity to take your next step.

    Maybe you could list some of the terms you came across so we can help you clarify?
