Is this how it's done? Halloween costume niche squidoo page.

I don't know if you've heard of the show Wilfred, its one of my favorites. It's sort of hard to describe, but here's a promo. FX - Wilfred Promo - YouTube

Anyway my mate says he wants to dress up as wilfred for halloween, so we head off to google in search of a costume. Apparently there are none to be found, but check out this page that came up as number one in my search.

Wilfred Halloween Costume Now this guy isn't selling the costume, he just talks about availability and links to sites on how to make your own as well as links to videos and blogs and then follows with a nice smattering of adsenses and other ads spread around the page.

I think its a great example of of how to use squidoo, get a topic that will gather traffic and earn money from adsense. I could imagine a few other ways he could monetize this and if he owns some of the links on the page I would imagine he already has thought of them as well.

    It's not a great lens - for example his bio and picture are still the default. He is obviously just using it as a backlink for his site linked to in the intro text module. He's unlikely to make much if anything from the lens itself.

      What exactly would the bio and pic do for him in terms of making it a great lense?

      As the site that he links to is about Wilfred Halloween costumes he probably intends that to be #1 not the lens. The ads on the lens including Adsense will not have his personal adsense code - that's not how Squidoo works.

      The fact that he has left the default bio and picture makes it look far from professional. The lensrank isn't bad though so it should make around $5 a month from revenue share - but it's not a sales lens, just a backlink.

      Something like this Katy Perry Costumes From California Gurls Video is far more likely to make money.

    To expand on what NicSennen said to make this into a sales lens and make money from Squidoo. He needs to add an Amazon and Ebay modules on the subject. That's where he can make money also. Maybe he can sign up with a costume affiliate that sells Wilfred costumes and make money on the sales. There many affiliates out there. But not bad though, it has potential.
