Relative newby here so pardon the silly question:
Is posting too much to your blog a possible detriment to your ranking? Example, one daily post, vs. one weekly post? Cheers.

Posting can never hurt, as long as your posting original content...

Original content is great. Also a variety of media is good too. Not just text, but images, audio, video etc.

The more high quality, targeted, unique posts you make to your blog the better. Make sure each post targets one specific keyword, plus several LSI keywords.

The key is consistency. The search engines expect you to follow to a regular pattern. For example, once a week, twice a week, every day, twice a day.

Once you have a consistent pattern, they will visit your site and expect to find new material to index. To illustrate this, I have Google Alerts set up for several of my keywords, and often, within a couple of minutes of publishing a post, Google has discovered it and emailed me an alert.
