PDF Direct Linking

I'm doing a campaign and 1 of my backlinking strategies was to make my article into a PDF file and it's pretty much the same article on my site.
But my question is would is make sense to have an outgoing link within my article directed only to my website or would it be best to link to the merchant as well:confused:
And is there any other pdf sharing sites other than scribd that are any good:confused:
