AMAZON Reinstates California Associates program!

Just got this email today:

Hello,

As you may have heard, California Governor Jerry Brown has signed legislation
repealing the law that had forced us to terminate our California Associates. We are
pleased to invite all California Associates whose accounts were closed due to the
prior legislation to re-enroll in the Associates Program.

  It sounds like this only applies to former affiliates. Still, it's a start.

  While individual states my be temporarily marginalized...
  
  Don't think that Amazon is going to passively sit by if legislature hindering their affiliates continues to become the trend.
  
  Their affiliate program is a sizable piece of their business, and they won't just toss it out the window without an argument.

I haven't seen or hear anything on this matter at all.

Not in Google, not from Amazon, not from fellow associates either.

Might do some research to verify this and thanks for the heads up!

This is good news. I happen to live in a state were lawmakers are considering taxing associate sales as California and other states have. I hope this decision will slow them down, but knowing Maryland's legislators, it probably won't.
