Ten Steps to Improve your Conversations on your Blog

Hello Warriors - Here are ten helpful steps to help you improve your conversations on your blog.

1.) Ask for comments in your posts - (Google loves interaction)
Example: 22 people have left their opinion - what's yours?

2.) Leave posts un-ended - By doing this you're allowing your readers to get involved. It's basically forcing them to reply to your posts.

3.) Thank them for commenting - Get involved with your readers. Let them know you care by simply thanking them for the comment.

4.) Get to know your readers - It's important you know why they like you - that way you can repeat.

5.) Answer all questions - Stay on top of your reader's questions. Don't wait for the week to go by to reply to someone's question. Build that relationship with your readers and answer all questions ASAP...

6.) Keep people involved - Add fresh new content daily - if not weekly and ask your readers what they want more of.

7.) Don't distract them - don't over due it with the flashing banners jumping off the page. It not only looks tacky but it also distracts your reader from getting to the good part - your content.

Make sure everything you add to your blog is an addition to your readers and not for you.
(People come for the content and not the side bar)

8.) Remove spam - Stop spam - Get rid of all your spam messages (if your using wordpress as a blogging platform - install one of the many PLUG-INS that help stop spamming such as Akismet)

9.) Keep it simple to comment - Don't make it hard for your readers to have to find where your comment box is, put it directly under all your posts and tell them to comment.

10.) Try new things - Keep track of what works and what doesn't. This is an ongoing pursuit so it's important you stay up to date and keep your blog clean and fast.

There you have it warriors - 10 steps to effectively improve your conversations on your blog.
