Will You Please 'Look Over' My Game-Plan?? =) I'm Somewhat Unsure....
I'm currently at the 'site-creation' process, and it is daunting.
I have decided to go with Wordpress, as it is the easiest for myself - I'd like to go ahead and list what I would like to do regarding my site, and if anyone would offer their pros, cons, advice, suggestions, and/or pointers it would be highly appreciated!
Ok, so I was thinking of keeping it as simple as possible. The main focus of my site is to deliver great content and encourage people to opt into my email list.
Home Page:
I envision a simple homepage, with my site title at top left, an incentivized opt-in as the main banner, a short section below that with some 'power copy' then perhaps a smaller 'blog' feature below that where updates are made from the actual blog (has it's own tab), and finally - my footer.
About:
Self-explanatory
Blog:
Where I would post my articles and content too
Products:
Where I can display recommended (affiliate) products etc.
That would basically consist of it all - however, this now leads me to the main question I wanted to ask...
When I post my site's link to other sites (in the resource box, blog commenting, etc.) - I'd like to refer any generated traffic to a landing page with the best of my content displayed on a static page of sorts.
Good idea, bad idea?
Plus - does anyone know of a way that I can post all of my content to my blog tab - but only allow specific posts to be seen on the 'blog' portion of my homepage?
I hope this makes sense, haha! :p:rolleyes:
Please share your thoughts & thank you for your time!
