Whenever I wanted to publish a lens, they would not allow me to publish by saying I have violated the rights.

I written it out by myself and I didn't put any affiliate links on the lens.Is it very hard to publish to squidoo?

That's weird. Maybe they are just saying that. I know they are cracking down on what they believe to be web spam. Do you believe you create a high quality lens?

It doesn't matter how hard it is.

The point is that it's unnecessary and risky, as both the terms of service and their interpretations keep changing all the time, and you can never own the site yourself anyway. :p

Like many here, I used to use it sometimes as part of my backlinking strategy, but the reality is that there isn't even any upside to doing that, any more. There was, perhaps, a time that Squidoo lenses ranked reasonably well on search engines just because (mostly) "Google liked the squid", but that hasn't been true for a long time, now. And not just because of the "Panda update": it wasn't true even well before that.

Squidoo actually gives you nothing that you can't get, free of charge, on your own, elsewhere. It's just not a great idea. It's produced understandable, predictable, avoidable disasters for huge numbers of marketers. All you need to do, to see why, is to read this thread carefully. (Some of it's about "Blogspot" but the principles discussed are exactly the same). Not to mention all the posts from such experts as Dan C. Rinnert and others, right here. These are people who know what they're talking about!

    Typical.

The problem is that even if they do allow you to publish now, they can change their minds in 3 months' time (as so many here have found). You don't need them, Wilson. There are plenty of other free sites available where you can safely own and control your website yourself, without any of Squidoo's terms threatening the security of your business.

Would you mind giving me some of the free sites?

No, of course ... good free hosts with their own built-in site-builder, for "sites" or "blogs" include Weebly (my own favourite - two sites are free: a paid upgrade gets you eight more), Yola and Blinkweb.

Free hosts without built-in site-builders (i.e. you can have your own self-hosted Wordpress blogs there, from wordpress.org, or whatever else you want to host) include Byethost (no C-Panel - they have their own equivalent but installing Wordpress blogs isn't so easy) and 000WebHost (has "normal C-Panel").

Don't let people tell you that "free host are bad hosts": this is dreadfully out of date information and misses the point that many of these companies make their living, nowadays, by impressing people so much with the free hosting that they'll stay permanently and gradually buy paid upgrades and stuff, as they go along.

The ones to avoid, over terms of service issues, lack of security, fear of deletion, and so on, are wordpress.com, blogspot, hubpages and squidoo.

With all four of those, you're just unnecessarily dependent on them; they don't give you anything that you can't get free elsewhere; you're taking unnecessary risks; you can never own your site; the former alleged "SEO advantages" don't exist any more; etc. etc.

Squidoo has many irritating rules that you must learn. They don’t allow you to write about various topics, like getting your ex back, etc.

You are not allowed to have more than 10 links pointing out to the same site. They changed all categories last December… they keep making many irritating changes without asking anyone if we agree with them.

However, I love creating Squidoo lenses and they are helping me in many ways. So, you have to follow the rules without complaining, and take advantage of the opportunities given to you thanks to the creation of lenses for free, and you are even paid for creating them. You can promote your websites, blogs, your own products, and many affiliate products in a lens.

Read this lens and learn how to easily create business lenses and get traffic:

    http://www.squidoo.com/passive-income-website-traffic-squidoo-beginners-guide

I created it, but I don’t make money with the amount of visitors. This is not my topic; I created this lens only in order to sent traffic from internet marketing to my niche. So, don’t think that I’m posting my own link because this is advantageous to me. This lens is very helpful; I teach you everything I learned about Squidoo after studying this matter, while in the beginning I had abandoned my plans to create lenses because I found the process too complicated for me… Later I read other lenses and I learned how to easily create nice and professional lenses. If you are well-organized you can easily create 1 or 2 lenses per day. Quality is Very Important, but quantity is very important too.

I’m using Squidoo mainly in order to send traffic to my websites, but it is also a passive income. There are people making around $500 - $1000 per month with their lenses.

Now Squidoo requires original content. If you want to use old articles you have to rewrite them or post only a few paragraphs at your lens.

    All the best!

Building Squidoo lens isn;t what it used to be as far as making money. Google cracked down on Squidoo a while back and now Squidoo is cracking down on people like us. Yes read TOS and look at other lens to see what they are doing that you may not being doing with the lens you are trying to publish.
