Reality Shock - I need of help.

During the second week of October, I received a beautiful email from Google saying that they had to disable my account. Of course, I was in denial that I was banned.

It hurt me so much knowing I just lost a thousand dollars. As a college student who goes to school fulltime, it was very painful.

I really don't know any other alternatives to online money making other than with AdSense.

What niches can I get into to start monetizing again? Thank you!

Invalid Activity - that's what they said. No clear explanation as to what I did wrong.

When you have a business you should never put all your "eggs in one basket". So that goes for how many services you provide, i.e offer a selection and also marketing methods.

For example, I know many people that got banned from Google Ad's and the problem with that is, once you've turned them off if you haven't done any other marketing activities... there is nothing and you have to start from scratch.

There are many different ways to make money and just by browsing the forums here you will learn lots.

What I would take away from this painful experience is to remember to do a multitude of different marketing activities. By doing this you're also get better results and won't be so reliant on other sources.

    Best of luck

I learned a while back not to depend on google for anything that has to do with making my living.

There are lots of other ad networks that you can use on your site, search this forum for them.

You can also sell ad space yourself on your site, but better yet, make all the adds be your own affiliate links or CPA offers that you get paid if someone just gives their email address.

Thank you all! I'm just a bit stressed out with the whole debacle. I actually tried CPA, but I was denied. I'm kinda losing hope, but I'll for sure read the threads in hopes to find a better alternative.

I see this problem posted all the time. How easy is it to lose your Adsense account? Most of the time, the person doesn't even know what they did wrong. This doesn't seem fair to me.

Without knowing what your sites are about, it is tough to give any alternatives. There are bunches of affiliate networks you could check out like, amazon, cj, shareasale, linkshare, clickbank, etc.

What CPA networks did you try to get into? Some- like Peerfly and Maxbounty- are more newbie friendly than others.

What niche is your site in? Chances are there is an affiliate program for that niche. Whether its video games, sewing, cooking, running, etc.

You can buy new adsense accounts from adsenseG in case you want to get back in to that game you already know.

I think they usually know what they did wrong - or would if they actually thought about it. In this case it seems clear something was going on. It's not about "fair" - it's about "business".

The OP said he lost "a thousand dollars" - and I can tell you he didn't make a thousand in two months on that site without manipulating it in some way. That part is a no brainer. Adsense is good - but it's not magic money.

What is "not fair" is doing anything that gets clicks from people not interested in what the advertiser is selling.

Accounts don't get banned for just any reason. You must have done something wrong to piss them off. Clicked on your own ads? Played with the code? Solve the problem or stop whatever it is you're doing, learn your lesson, and move on to one of their competitors.

Sorry to hear that. I have limited sites with Adsense due to the stories of people that have had the rug pulled out from under them by Google. I know it is hard to hear, but have to diversify and have your hand in a couple different revenue streams.

There are other text ad networks, none that pay as good as adsense, but some is better than none.

    Ouch... that bites!

It's these threads that have motivated me from relying too heavily on "G" or one particular focus for generating income online. While, I am waiting to put any AdSense on several of my growing sites... until they are fueled by enough content, I too had received a devastating blow from the Amighty "G" back in July/August.

After spending months learning the basics, I had figured it was time to place some AdWords ads, and well... in my very 1st ad attempt, they notified me; "You are suspended for life!"

Still pisses me off a bit.

However, as it has been suggested above, it taught me 'real quick' just how fast "G" can rail ones efforts, and NOT to put your eggs in one basket.

While I am sorry to hear of your loss, there are several methods for making money online that DO NOT include relying on "G". I suggest looking into article syndication, Amazon, affiliate products, and perhaps writing an eBook or creating a product that might help another "avoid" the pain you're experiencing.

    All the Best,

    Art

PS - As Kay stated above, I personally do know what I did wrong... linked to a CB salespage from an AdWords ad...OOOPS! - *None-the-less, the punishment doesn't always seem appropriate when "at times" the mistake was unintentional, and derived from inexperience or 'newbie' ignorance.

First, calm down. OK, yes, AdSense is one of the best in the CPC league, but there are alternatives. Check out "AdSense alternatives" through Google (or Yahoo or Bing if you don't want to give the Big G any more of your time) and you will find places like AdBrite that offer basically the same service.

I have never used AdBrite, but I heard they and other CPC services offer similar (though somewhat lower) payouts.
