Hey everyone, I wanted to share an amazing Wordpress plugin I just found that enables you to change your Wordpress username right from your WP control panel. If you ever wanted to do that, or did do that, then you may know how much of a hassle it is having to tinker with your MySQL. This plugin is called "change-admin-username' and it does just that easily and fast. Install it, activate it, and you will see an option in WP under 'Users.' Click that and it will show your current username ('Admin' or whatever) and a box to put in your new username. That is all there is to it. It really is that easy. Worked perfectly with 2.7 and at least down to 2.5 I believe. I have no affiliation with the developer but here is the link: ø How To Change Your Admin Username In WordPress | W-Shadow.com ø Steve P.S. For obvious security reasons, they recommend you uninstall the plugin after using it. |
