Hey guys
I'm new to internet marketing and i'm hoping to learn and make a success of it myself. I was just wondering how you go about finding a niche that you are passionate about but also has potential for success in terms of making money. I want to write about something that i feel passionate about, for example Video games-Call of duty in particular. I would love to write about Call of duty, and i feel i could talk about it forever but my problem is that the niches that i am passionate about all seem to be extremely competitive. I am new so im sure there is something that i am missing. So how do you find a niche that your passionate about but also has potential to make money?

If you like writing then you could either offer services for that specific niche of gaming on websites like Fiverr.com, or just write articles and sell them on websites like ConstantContent.

If you are passionate about Call of Duty, launch a blog about it. To be competitive, you need great content and being able to talk about it at length is a good thing. You also need backlinks to rise in the serps. Social bookmarking is great for that. Just order some fiverr gigs to get it social bookmarked and that's a good start.

Competitive niche = good potential to make money

It's the ones with little competition you should worry about.

It wouldn't be too hard making money with, but it could take awhile to start getting the traffic your expecting there simply because of the large amount blogs about Call of Duty. However, once your site does raise in the search engines, there are tons of people searching for information about it.

Those that have a lot of experience can of course do ok with any niche even a really competitve one.

However, for a newbie, I think it would be most discouraging.

You can try it, but I also recommend you find something with less competition that still has good search volume.

Agree 100% with Kevin here. As long as you put together some high quality content on your blog/site, you will do fine. Dont worry about the competition too much. Just over deliver on your content and your visitors/readers will come.

even though a niche is competitive there is a lot of potential for profit especially for a niche like gaming. You should definitely put your knowledge of the game to use, offer valuable tips, write e-books, or guidelines, articles about Call of Duty, etc...there are numerous ways you can monetize on this, especially if you can rack up a huge following and drive traffic to your sites/pages.

First you need to know what you are passionate about. Write down at least 10 things, which you know a lot about.

Then try to find products or some profitable monetization technique for each niche.

Once you have the niches you need to go and find a perfect micro niche keyword. You'll need to look after search volume, CPC and general profitability and toughness of competition.

    Good luck
