Selling A Product Through Clickbank VS. Paypal

What's up everyone! First off! It's great to be apart of such an amazing, and powerful forum! I hope to work, and converse with most of you and share some great things together!

With all of that being said, let's focus on the subject of discussion. I'm currently planning a release for a WSO and I can't seem to figure out if I'd rather sell it through clickbank, or paypal. I figured sense I'm not looking to build gravity or EPC's for a big traditional launch, nor open it to affilaites...then what would be the point of really going through the clickbank approval process. With Paypal, I have control to limit the amount of copies available, and a few other features I really like. But what do most WSO owners choose? Clickbank or Paypal?

My main question is. What do the Warriors recommend!

although I have never had a wso for sale, I have had experience with paypal and they are more flexible and have more options that clickbank.

    Hope that helps.

If you're not looking for affiliate, then use PayPal. Its fess are lower than CB. Also, there's no product approval, you can also set your own refund policy. Most of the WSO owner use WSOPro. So basically it's PayPal.

    Hi Rob,

This isn't quite comparing like with like.

ClickBank is a retailer. Technically, you don't sell your product through ClickBank: you sell it to ClickBank, at a wholesale price, and ClickBank sells it to the customers.

With PayPal, you're not selling the product through them, at all: they're simply a payment-processor: you're selling it on your own, and you're responsible for the product-delivery, and so on.

With ClickBank's nearly 9% handling charges, very few people are using their service without wanting affiliates. On the other hand, if you do want affiliates, ClickBank is a pretty good place to be, because affiliates know, that way, that they're going to get paid reliably by an automated system and not be dependent on the vendor for payment, which is a huge plus. (The same's true of DigiResults - but they pay affiliates faster and by PayPal).

May I make a suggestion to you?

Have a look at DigiResults, rather than ClickBank.

It has a set-up for WSO affiliates, and might be a very good solution for you.

Alexa, do you know if I Can use the RAP magic button as an affiliate tool and still use digi results as my processor? Or do I have to use RAP affiliate templates. The reason I ask is that I need Digi auto refund system, I cannot rely on RAP affiliates handling refunds.

        ???

If you can't rely on RAP affiliates handling refunds, the problem is with your affiliates - NOT the sales system. If your affiliates are unreliable, ban them!

If you use those same, unreliable affiliates with DigiResults, they will simply empty their Paypal accounts after receiving their commissions. It is my understanding that Paypal will then take the total refund amount from your account.

If an affiliate reneges on a refund with RAP, Paypal goes after the affiliate's account, their bank account, etc. You can extract yourself from the whole issue, and your own Paypal account is not affected in any way.

IMHO, RAP does a much better job of insuring integrity in your affiliate staff, than any of the other 'instant commission' systems available today.

Clickbank is a lot more simple and there is less to learn

On some of my sales pages I have a button each to pay via PP or CB. The vast majority of people go for the PP option. I think people are just more familiar with it.
