I'm not sure about the age limit. I'd assume 18. But there is no charge to promote for either network.

I heard that there wasnt a age limit for clickbank, but there was for Amazon Associates which is 18 and the charge was for inactivity I believe if you have like more than 0 dollar's but if you have 0 dollars in your clickbank account that they wouldn't charge you?

I would say 18 in both networks but I'm not sure about that because I'm well over any age limit I'm just assuming using a common sense...

No, there is no stated minimum age requirement for either Amazon or Clickbank, and as already said, no cost to join either program as an affiliate.

Better hurry up before the affiliate tax fever reaches you there in Texas :-) Amazon doesn't like it and is not accepting associates from states that have it.

In the sign up process you'll be required to enter your date of birth, if it goes through then you're fine. So yes go ahead and do it. Even if you make a million bucks this month you'll not get your paycheck before next month when you're 18 already.

Haha, ". . . Even if you make a million bucks this month . . ." You gotta love it!
Clickbank doesn't charge for being an affiliate, but if your account is dormant for like 90 days, they start taking money from it. Nothing to worry about if you make consistent sales.

I signed up with CB before I was 18 and everything was perfectly fine. If you're mature about your marketing and keep everything ethical then you'll have no problem making money in affiliate marketing.

    Best of luck.

I think Amazon is probaly easier than Clickbank since Clickbank probaly has too much competition and I will sign up right now. Does Amazon have any charges for inactivity or No money income coming through?

      Congratulations.

Now about Amazon being less competitive than Click Bank, I don't think this is the case, but Amazon has several magnitudes more products that it's hard not to make money with it.

The point with Amazon is that with the small commission you'll need to make a lot of sales before you get to the pay out ($100).

      Here are two tips:

First try to promote the low cost stuff to your friends and relatives who are shopping there anyway, just until your commission get's to 8%. Then find here on the forum a WSO about how to pick the high paying products and start building sites around them.

Your commission is not the same for all Amazon stores, some pay up to 15% and some pay less than 8%. Go for the 15%.

      Good luck

So I start out at a comission of 4% of each product I promote?

Yes, until you've made 8 sales if I still remember it correctly it becomes 6% :p. But don't let this discourage you. Usually when a customer arrives at Amazon he/she buys several items and you get commission on all of their purchases. You'll also notice that the conversion of Amazon items is better than Clickbank's because people know and trust Amazon, while with Clickbank they deal with each vendor separately.
