What are the Alternatives to Hubpages

I know about hubpages but, what are the other one page wonders are out there that supply the same comparable benefits?

Squidoo seems to be to restrictive. I need more resources that will allow a combination of video embed and product review with contextual linking. Preferably allowing direct linking to the product with affiliate ID.

You could give Weebly a shot. Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for but it's free and it basically allows you to create any kind of page you want.

      Kool...

      So, we have:

      1. Hubpages
      2. Weebly (your right, it does fit the criteria)

You can get a free blog at Blogger , Wordpress, and Tumblr which are probably the best 3 that are free.

You make the rules there, and you wouldn't have to split Adsense / Amazon / eBay / Kontera commissions with the site owners , which is what you have to do at Hub Pages.

HP now prohibits you from putting your own affiliate links directly on your article, they want you to use one of their widgets and enter in your affiliate ID's so that there is a 50/50 chance that its HP's affiliate ID.

That would be the first and logical way to go but there is a reason I'm going the one page wonder route first. One reason is for product testing to find out the level of buying interest I can create before devoting to much time to a certain niche or product line.

I do like making the rules but then again, who doesn't? lol

That's nice to know cuz I wasn't aware of that. That changes the game with hubpages just slightly.

Gather.com is another one I've used in the past

    Also Jimdo.com and wetpaint.com

It's been so long since I've used these that they are coming back to me slowly.

I would have to say two things! One I am all for squidoo and I believe that, they do a great job each month with payments and the amount of posting! And Number two would be Start a blog! They say bloggers really go far in IMing!

Yeah I also need an alternative to Hubpages since they have taken down my post which was a product review with affiliate links. I love Squidoo, but this particular product has been reviewed too many times on Squidoo and so no longer allowing any more reviews on this product.

I will give Weebly a go.

    Thanks for the information.

RE: the comment about making money through success through blogging. This is not 100% true. Blogging combined with SEO is where the money is. Target product name keywords. Proper keyword research is necessary. Just blogging about things we love will not lead to making money. This is where most people go wrong.....unless you have a personality that can draw a following by entertaining them....video blogging would be the way forward if this is the case.

    Cheers,

    Chris
