Learn To Sing-Need Your Input

I know some of you most graciously reviewed my other learn to sing blog on blogger. I have, through the help of many in this forum, put togther a small WP blog. I would appreciate an reviews/suggestions about the blog. I want to have it completed before I start submitting it to RSS feeds, etc.

Here's the blog:

Learn to Sing

I can take criticism so have at it. I need to raise about $20,000 in the next 6-8 months so that I can continue my education. So, once I get the hang of these WP blogs I can throw up many, many more.

Thanks in advance for time and sugestions!

    OK, first things first....

I looked at another site this morning that had the same problems I see on yours.

If you are trying to earn $20,000 you need to figure out what you are trying to push here. You have adsense ads, amazon products and clickbank products.

I would focus on the clickbak product myself. It has a price tag of $99. I am sure you are getting at least 50%. That is a good price point for you to focus on.

As for the amazon products, I would lose them. You are making 4% to start on these products. One of the sells for less that $8. That is .32 cents per sale. Why waste your time on writing a post for a product that is going to make you .32 cents?

Adsense ads, do you think you are going to make enough to justify giving your visitors a reason to leave your page? You will probably make more from the $8 amazon product...

Focus your efforts on the clickbank product. If you can sing, record some of your singing and put an MP3 on your site. You need to prove that this product helped you. If you can't find somebody who can...

I think the site is very focussed on your niche but you are trying to sell too many items.

OK, once you get that site fixed, find some other products that you want to promote in a different niche. You need to keep adding sites to your portfolio. You need to have a variety of niches that you are working in in order to make the kind of money you need to make.

You are off to a good start. Clean it up a little and get your nest campaign started.

And by the way, now that you have a site, how are people going to find you? Are you doing any PPC or article marketing? Just because you have a site up doesn't mean you are going to make money. People have to know what you are promoting....

Doug--thanks so much for the input! I wondered about trying to sell too many different things. I guess I was kind of trying to do it like a conduit site and just review all the different products. You are right, though, I never thought about what the commission was on an $8.00 sale through Amazon.

Adsense-yeah, you are right. I strip those out as well.

There are just so many different models to choose from, some say put in adsense, some dont. Some say review different products. Some don't. It's all very confusing.

    I apprecaite the help!

I only use adsense on sites that have died just to see if I can make something from the domain name.

As for reviews, that is a great model to work on. You have to find a niche that has enough products to support that model.

Make sure if you are doing a review site, you are an affiliate for all the items reviewed. You want to then focus you review and the one that you truly think will convert the best, not necessarily the one that makes you the most commission.

If you sale one at a 1% conversion that pays $50, and you sale one at a 3% conversion that only pays you $20, which one is better?

Make sure when you are deciding on your model, you are looking at your ROI.

I wish you luck on your goal. Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Have you tested it in different browsers? It looks okay in Firefox, but it's a complete mess when I try to view it in Safari.

Dan--no, I haven't done that. Thanks for the heads up. How in the world would I fix that?
