How can you make money with an email list for a rumor site?

Lets say you owned the top result for the keyword 'iPhone 5', how is it possible to make money off aweber / email list?

You tell them to sign up to get emails on the latest rumors etc. the only idea i had was to give them an email every week a new article comes out? I guess its for the traffic? and i'm hoping they click the adsense links?

I've got no idea. I don't expect people to like CPA offers in their email lists when they signed up to find the latest rumors.

Cheers!

If CPA's are related to rumors, why not? For exmaple, ebook on 'secret rumors for devoted people only'

What you do is basically send them out a newsletter, in your case I would suggest weekly. In the bottom I would put one tech related affiliate product.

Depending on the size of your list, I would suggest a clickbank product or even a free .pdf. If you offer them 5 things of value, for 5 weeks, then you can hit them with the CPA offer.

The other option is to join commision junction, pepper jam, linkshare or some sites like this. Get related coupon codes, and send a coupon banner at the end of your newsletter. Example: News Story 1 Headline, summary link to blog
news Story 2, Headline, summary link to blog.......Then at the bottom, you have a 10% Off Go Daddy coupon.

That gives your readers value. Value is everything.

    Good Luck

I would use CPA offers, but you're right, you would have to keep the content coming as well. Simply add a small offer in your email, related to the rumour in some way.
