How Online Article Writing Landed Me Job Of 100k/month. . . Seriously!

Hello folks. . .

It is about 12:45 am and I so full of joy. . .

Not me but for my friend.

This thread is for people who are still struggling to make ends meet, searching for job and those who do not believe that it is really possible to make money online.

There was a guy who I met some month back in another forum ( a Nigerian forum) and he complained about how someone used him to write articles which he did not pay for. He allege that the articles he wrote for the person brought in some money but he was not paid for it.

He decided to move on with his life and I came along to help. I dropped my contact for him to give me a call but he did not because he thought I was one those. Anyway, he finally summoned up courage to call me and we got along fine, but that was after about 4 months. I started sharing tips and tricks which he could use to make some money online, mostly the things I have learned from warrior forum.

He had set up a site to promote his article writing service which he did get one client for and that netted $ 120 for 24 article at the rate of $ 5 per one. yeah small but that was just the beginning for him. The job actually came through twitter. But before that, I showed him a site I was actually working on at that time and he took a look and made some changes to his before launching and promotion.

Thereafter, a UK firm contacted him to write for them which he did. They later ask him if he would like to work with them permanently. . . he accepted. He did not even know that the UK firm has branch in Nigeria in Abuja where he stays.

He did get a date for the interview and the rest is history. He would now be paid 100k per month ( In Nigerian Currency) plus other incentives and bonuses. . . WHO SAID YOU CAN'T MAKE MONEY ONLINE?

DON'T GIVE UP!

No ,you are wrong. It is a bit higher than that here. Forget about the online currency converter. Actually it depends on where the exchange is done. If it were in a Nigerian bank, it is 150 naira to a dollar but if you are to change the money at outlets outside the banks, it some where around 155-160 naira to a dollar.

@All, thanks for the kind words. I am not doing anything with my internet marketing skill at the moment because I am in school and I do not want any distraction that could lead to a drop in my CGPA....

But it was really timing to read about the hostgator affiliate tips some days ago. I must say a BIG thank Matt Attack for the info.

Guess what, I have just finalized a perfect no-fail strategy would make me more than $3000 in a month from that secret alone...

Awesome story, just goes to show that a never give up attitude will give great results. Persistence is the key.

Yes it's not $100K in US currency but I have no doubt that is a considerable sum of money for someone living in Nigeria.

So well done to your friend and for you for sharing the story.

Nice story, does make you feel like there is light at the end of tunnel.

I reckon your friend would have been a lot more successful sooner without

his spamming countrymen getting many things from Nigeria blacklisted.

Shame they went that route, they could have all done really well if they had tried.

I just finished ghostwriting for a business school blog and I am on the market for another assignment. This post interests and confuses me.

Who earned that much money, you or your Nigerian friend. Regardless, I wish I can be that fortunate. Any secret you might want to share with me?

Reminder... The two clients came in through twitter. He dropped a link to his websites on his bio page and when they clicked, it took them to his site. That was how the whole thing metamorphosed.

I do hope someone take advantage of this and do something really amazing with this. Get a twitter and linkdin account and harness the power of social media. You never know where your next client would come from.

Lol... Not really. It was almost automatic since I have been in the IM game since 2008;I have read countless headlines and titles. So, It isn't really hard for me to come up titles like that.

The main reason I clicked on the title was the "100k", turns out it's not what I expected As with most of the other "articles" with catchy titles

The title is misleading when used on a US based forum. From a currency converter I find 100,000 Nigerian is $629 US. That may be a living wage in Nigeria and, if so, he's doing well.

Thanks for providing this info for comparison. Very interesting, especially
the discrepancy between housing and utilities, which are quite inexpensive, especially away from city center, and other things like health club membership and restaurant meals, certain foods, and even movies, which are completely out of proportion in the context of the average income in Nigeria!

Cost of living is more complex than it might seem at first sight.
