Advice To New Warriors

Members new to the Warrior forum and maybe to some existing Warriors, here are some suggestions I have for you.

1) Save important things to your computer. If there is something of real value you find in this forum, do not just subscribe to the thread or bookmark it.

Very valuable threads and posts are some times deleted for many reasons and then the data is just gone forever.

If you see something of value, copy and paste immediately into your own document and save it to your computer.

That way you have it in the event it is gone with no prior warning.

2) Join the War Room. I generally do not advise new people to spend any money on resources or training until they have done a lot of reading and know more about things but this is the exception.
There are a lot of great free things in the War Room that are worth much more than the one time life time fee of the War Room. Plus. it allows you to PM right away and other benefits. Check it out.

3) Realize that IM (Internet Marketing) is a business not a get rich quick scheme. Save yourself a lot of grief and maybe time and money and don't just start buying things because of the great headlines. Regardless of the method you choose, it is going to take work. There is no one method that will make you a lot of money over night that works for everyone.

4) Buy with caution. Even though I suggest not to buy stuff right away. If you really feel you must buy something on this forum or anywhere on the web, wait a few weeks to get real people reviews. The reviews and testimonials that the seller gives you are not always accurate. There are a lot of really great things once you know more what you are doing, but there are also a lot of scammers who just want your money and just offering a 100% money back guarantee won't help if they just take your money and run. Stats can be faked. Screenshots can be faked.

5) Learn how to use this forum for maximum benefit and follow all the rules. Read the overall forum rules and the rules for each sub forum and make sure to follow them. Learn how to use the search function and especially the advanced search function so that you can find all the valuable information buried in this forum for free. Learn how to subscribe to threads so that when you post a question or comment you will get an email when someone else posts an answer or comment on the same thread.

6) Select other markets and niches outside of internet marketing and make money. Even though you are learning all about how to make money by doing internet marketing, you don't have to be selling something in those niches or on this forum. Sell what people are already buying that has some but less competition. It could be anything.

Taking "notes" when learning from people with great ideas and insight is always a wise move.

Follow TopKat22's suggestion and save what you like. Go a step further and KEEP IT ORGANIZED too. Even if you don't have any notes *yet*, be sure to put the structures in place now so you can easily find information you're looking for later.

Many of us "entrepreneurial types" can be a bit scatter-brained sometimes so take it from me, as one myself :p...

Just because it's clear in your mind now, doesn't mean it will be 2 months from now. Naturally, when you really want to find it back amongst that jumble of notes you'll short on time.. haha.

    Cheers,
    -Adrian

I takes notes like this as well and it is extremely valuable. It can be a pain to organize everything if you start out just adding everything to the same document, so be sure to organize your notes from the very beginning. Another good tip is to print articles or other useful information, keep it in a folder, and take that folder with you wherever you go. You can always read through your folder while waiting in line at the store or waiting at the dentists office.

That is a very good idea. I have done that several times myself. So much to learn here.

yes, all great ideas. I learned this the hard way when I went back to find a thread I had subscribed to was gone.

Now, I definitely save the valuable stuff to file.

And you are also correct in organizing it. I have the data by topic like SEO, Traffic, etc.

You never know when notes will come in handy. Many times I have wanted a particular morsel of information and there it was...or not, depending on how organized I was.

It's what you do when no one is watching
that determines what you will be able to
    do when everyone is watching.

This is a very helpful list for newbies!
And yes, especially number 4: Buy with caution is so true!

Some months ago, I wasted my time and money buying every other WSO with a promising headline. Now I am only looking for WSOs that could be useful for my own business. And I get a lot of information for free just by reading the forums.

      Great advice
when reading a thread if there are any links to useful sites or information I always go and check out the links and if I think there is valuable stuff I copy and paste the link to a swipe file (simple text file) that I have on my desktop with a brief description of what the info is about. Invaluable when you nee something later on

Yes, it seems that a lot of newbies do this. I think that is why so many quit. They are looking for the "one" thing and don't realize this is a business and there is no "one" thing.

Yes, good advice. This is so much valuable information in this forum.

I always click on "new posts" so read threads in all the forums regularly.

I think many newbies would say this. That is why I want to give this information to the newest members and hopefully help them NOT make the same mistakes.

It IS very important to have a system that you use to save the valuable information in a way you can easily find it later.
