EBook Security Settings..

Hey,

I just wrote a couple ebooks in open office and I notice they have a "security" feature here. In addition to selecting "no changes" in the permission section, is there anything else I should be doing to secure these books for being copied/stolen/having my affiliate links removed etc.?

Thanks in advance,

Bill

There is a property that disables file copying (copy-paste). I don't have the open office right now so I can't provide you with specific details - there should be an option called "security"; you create a password and then can change features including the copying feature.

    Hopefully this will help.

The option to encrypt I do not use because it creates an unnecessary extra step for customers.

This was something I also wanted to know before. Most ebooks I read allow you to copy and paste, although I have seen some that just isn't possible
