Oooh, I'm surprised ... I'd have guessed much higher. Even for the .net. :confused:

Which shows you how little I know about that end of the market. I sell domain-names for around $150/$200, sometimes. :p

I don't understand why domains like this are so valuable, just because they're one word. What would you do with it (aside from sell it)? I can understand lawyer.com, autos.com, chocolate.com, etc., but "company.net" is so generic it doesn't really mean anything.

Are you kidding ? Creation date: 03 Aug 1995 04:00:00 That's only $1352.95 for each your registered and it goes down for each subsequent year you hold onto the domain.

Considering squatters start there bids at $1500 for more generic brand names I reckon that was a good deal and a nice investment.

So if I understand what you're saying, basically because the domain was registered in 1995, it makes it more valuable? I'm not saying it was a bad investment for the owner, but in reality, what "actually" makes the domain worth that? Nothing. In reality, the domain is useless...come on, "company.net".
