Is there any software that does this?

Hi there my fellow Warriors,

I'm wondering if you might be able to help me with this.

I've searched everywhere but haven't been able to find it or anything remotely close to what I'm looking for.

I'm trying to find software that acts as an ebook template, you just fill in the blanks and get a completed ebook by the end of the writing process.

I have used article creation software that works on this premise where it guides you throughout the article writing process starting with introduction, main points, body, conclusion, summary.

Is there any ebook software out there on the market that does a similar thing?, ie table of contents, introduction, chapter 1, chapter 2, conclusion, etc, then click a button that compiles all of your information into a ready made, formatted PDF.

I find working this way helps keep me focussed and on track with my writing.

I've never used them, but I did a google search for pre-formatted ebook template, and ebook template and there were a few things available that fit might fit the bill. This one only $5.00. :-) I hope that helps!

  Doesn't Word output in PDF format now? (it does on the Mac).
  
  In which case, you can just use any word template, and turn it into a pdf when you are done.

Not sure, what I was looking for was a like a laid out template where you fill in each section that the template requires, click a button and it's formatted at the end.

Use openoffice (Openoffice.org) - its like Word to use, free and can generate pdfs. As for setting up your template just find a format you like and put those headings on the top of each page.
