How old is the site?

What kind of links did you build?

Where was it ranked? Where is it ranked now?

You left out a lot of details.

The site went live March 21, 2012 ....The only links to it are from my personal site (which is in my signature) .... and then I pinned two of the pictures to pinterest and added the link. Thats it. I don't know what its rank was and what it is now.... how do I figure that out?

Could be the 'new site Honeymoon period.'

It's nothing to worry about. All new sites show up in the rankings for a little while, then disappear. It's as if Google is making up its mind about a site. :-)

The sandbox effect has been around for years, and it looks as if it's still around.

Just keep blogging, your rankings will return. I've seen sites come back within a week, others take a month or more.

You need lots of content, as well as some links to your site.

The more content you have, the better.

Market your site. Try doing some press releases, and write some guest posts.

A digression...

I'm curious: why did you use "pinterest" in your domain? Pinterest cares about others' trademarks and copyright (see the pages in the About section of the site).

You may be safe for a while, but I'd be concerned that sooner or later Pinterest will start sending out cease and desist letters to domains using their name. All large sites do that eventually.
