Local Markets help needed

hi guys and girls

I'm looking into local markets i.e plumbers in london, to build a site, rank it, sell the leads or sell the site.

Im not sure what kind of research i need to do apart from keyword research.

If anybody has any advice it would be more than appreciated.

    I tried to familiarize myself with that some time ago as well. I think doing the keyword research is most of what you need. Then you should google the keyword in order to see who your main competitors are in terms of page rank, backlink etc. If it looks "beatable", go on! If not, try with another keyword.
