PLR Recommendation (Articles)

Can anyone recommend a supplier of well written PLR articles? I'm looking specifically for fitness articles for my content website.

I'd ideally like to find a seller who limits the number of licenses to articles, so I'm not getting copy that is already all over the web.

I'm just trying this out for the first time, so any tips on what to watch out for would be much appreciated.

I understand that the articles will need to be re-written to a certain extent and I'm not expecting the world's most sparkling prose. But I do want articles which contain sound, accurate advice. There is a lot of rubbish talked about fitness on the web and my site offers a straight-talking refuge from all that!

If you can recommend a PLR supplier you've had good experiences with that'd be great.

Hi Julia. There are a number of excellent PLR article providers who sell packs on fitness. Most niche plr sellers sell a variety of article packs, so you won't always find fitness on their site if they've already sold out. But if you sign up for their lists then you'll get alerted when they have new stuff. Here's a short list to start with:

All Star PLR - Peggy Baron
    Easy PLR - Nicole Dean
PLR Minimart (not limited licenses, but all quality writing) - Tiffany Dow
    Net PLR - Ruth Pound
    PLR A la Carte
    Flamillion - Rosie Cotts
All Private Label Content - Alice Seba
Health PLR Club (this is a membership site) - Lisa Stoops

You should be able to get free samples at any of these sites so you can see if you like their writing style. Also, I'm a little less concerned with limited licenses than others since I always edit them. The sites you have to worry about are the ones that are selling a ridiculous quantity of articles for pennies on the dollar. I only shop at sites that charge around $1 per page, which is about the standard rate for quality plr. You'll pay more for ones with very limited licenses (eg 50).

I'm sure I've missed a few good sites, but hopefully others will chime in.

I wish I could offer you some fitness articles myself, but I focus just on business topics right now. Maybe sometime in the future!

Best of luck with your site.

Aren't PLR articles all over the web and thus does not add value or relevancy as per Google's Search requirements?

What would be the advantage of posting PLR articles?

Not everyone is relying on Google for their traffic.

When that's the case, it doesn't matter where the heck the article came from. If your readers learn from it and like you more because you posted it, you win.

I'm not really looking to boost my Google ranking with the PLR articles, but I expect I'll need to rewrite a lot of them anyway. I'm thinking they'll be more like base content to speed up the writing process. I won't be churning all my articles out this way, by the way, but they could be a good way to get some of the basics covered on my site quickly. This will be the first time I've used them though, so I'll have to see how it goes.

Yep, absolutely. Plus I'll probably end up rewriting them. As mentioned, this will be the first time I've tried PLR, so I'm not sure how it will work out, just giving it a go.

Also, Google does not drop down a sites rank just because of PLR. Bad quality information is a factor however.

I don't usually use PLR articles but these are great suggestions for someone who needs them.

Rather than multi-quote everyone, I'm going to try to address the main issues of using PLR.

There are several ways to use PLR:
    - as straight content for your blog or website
    - for emails to your list
    - for opt-in freebies to build your list
    - as content for membership sites
    - to create infoproducts to sell
    - as the base content or script for videos and audios
    - as content for training videos and webinars
    - as content to give your affiliates for promoting your site
    - etc, etc, etc

You're only limited by your imagination. My favorite way to use articles is for a rough draft or outline. As you said Julia, it saves tremendous time when you don't have to start something from scratch. Also, if the article is well written you have a solid foundation to work from.

I'm also about to start experimenting with using some PLR articles and slides to create my own videos. Just waiting for my Camtasia to arrive and then I'll put together some kind of tutorial on how to create slide shows and video using PLR articles.

    As for the Google issue:
    - Google doesn't like to have multiple copies of the same thing show up on their results page for one keyword. You won't get penalized for having the same content, but you may not be the one they pick if you don't have other content on your page. Anyway, you should always be trying to add value for your readers. Do that and you won't have a problem with Google. Also, as Justin said, if you're helping your readers learn something, you win every time.
    - If your PLR is not being used to rank in search engines, there's no duplicate content issue at all. For example, using PLR to create a free giveaway for your list has nothing to do with Google.

With that said, I always recommend editing any PLR you buy to make sure it is both customized to your market AND has your voice in it. What does "have your own voice" mean? It means that you should add examples of your own and the type of writing style and language that you typically use.

On a separate note, one of the reasons I provide outlines of each article with my own PLR is to make it easy to write your own unique versions. An outline also makes it much easier to reorganize the content. I suggest that you do the same type of thing with any PLR that you buy. Read through it and create an outline for your own article using the key points from the PLR that you want plus any of your own. Then write it. It will take you far less time than if you had to sit down with a blank piece of paper (or computer screen).

That's my own opinion and view of PLR. I know there are many who are just looking to use it out of the box, but I haven't tried that for myself.

    Hope that helps!

I totally agree with what Sharyn said. There is such a misconception out there about PLR. Using it doesn't indicate some sort of weakness or something. I wish people could see it for the benefit it is! It's a huge time saver and meant to be a boost to your business not the opposite.

Just like some of the others have said, I also have a fitness pack if you're still looking Julia. It might be helpful to have a few packs. Store is in the siggy.

And you're a wise gal to turn to PLR. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

Sharyn's list is excellent and the same ones I recommend too. Each of those providers offer tips for using PLR too--in case you need a few pointers.

I have a few packs at my store (link in sig box) under the Health & Wellness category.

    Best of luck to you,
    ~Patti
