An Interesting New Method For Testing Your Copy

Hey all

Here's an interesting method we can all try, let me know your thoughts on it.

Rather than have one long salespage, why not break that salespage up into smaller pages - each page being the size of a powerpoint slide - and get the reader to click a 'continue' button to move to the next page.

Now hold on! I know you're thinking that because the reader has to put in that extra effort of clicking 'continue', he/she is more likely to drop out. I agree - they probably will. But there is potentially a HUGE benefit to this.

Using Google Analytics (or Piwik or some other stats tool), you can find out exactly what page most of your readers are dropping out on. Then you can work on changing the content on that one page they're dropping out on and see if you can get them to read further, and keep doing this until you get a huge percentage of your readers getting to the 'Order Now' page.

This method may convert less, but it can give you a HUGE learning curve. Once you've perfected it, you can take all the separate pages and combine them into one long salespage.
