I don't won't to start a thread bashing Aweber - just ask a simple question.

I've got a tiny little list. My friend asked me today why he tried to add his name but the email didn't send.

I don't want this to mean I will lose a huge number of subscribers.

Is there any email company that doesn't mess up sending confirm messages?

The confirmation email from Aweber can take 5 minutes or so sometimes. Is your friend sure s/he didn't receive it? Did they check their spam folder?

Asking because many marketers swear by Aweber and I've never had any issues. So I'm guessing it was a fluke or something.

Anyways I also heard that GetResponse has great delivery rates.

I know Aweber's meant to be great. It's just annoying because it's happened so quickly out the gate.

His email is Live.co.uk. I don't know if that's bad for receiving them.

I wouldn't say Aweber messes it up- but as Dan said, sometimes it does take a few minutes.

Aweber is one of the better ones and no auto responder has a 100% delivery rate and any of them that say they do I would stay far far away from. Awebers never done me wrong

And I'm not saying your friend is incompetent or anything...but did he or she spell the email address correctly?

    Fin,

Have him check again later. Hotmail/MSN Live can be very slow in delivering to the inbox. That may not be the issue here, but it's something to check.

AOL's been flaky as hell lately, too, but that's a whole other problem.

I've subscribed to Aweber lists before and never got the confirmation message at all. And it can't be resent to that email address. This is very rare, though.

I've also subscribed to aweber lists before and I got the confirmation message like, a few days later ha ha. I was finally able to confirm my subscription to that one after those few days passed by.
