Default I don't understand the war room

I'm not a member of the War Room yet but I will be very soon. At $37 it looks like an absolute snap. The only reason I'm not is that I want to focus on writing code for my latest project ... OK so we all know I'm probably going to sign up at some point today

What I don't understand is why it's a one time fee? Access to a resource like this with ongoing content and discussion etc seems like the perfect recurring model to me but I'm a programmer not a marketer.

Does anyone have any insight into this?

Don't question it foo'!

I just scribbled down your name. And if I see a price change to monthly. I got a backyard full of dog crap, a stack full of bags, and a zippo that won't quit. With your front door's name on it!

In my opinion Allen has always offered outstanding value in his products. This is just another example. This is a true no brainer. If you haven't signed up for the War Room, do so.

'cause Allen is the cooliest

Honestly, I think you're right. I finally got my subscription today and all I can say is WOW. I spent waaaay too much time in there today, but came away with my poor little brain just bursting with knowledge.

Seriously, one thread is worth the entire fee. Best money I ever spent in IM. The price is insane considering what you get. (but I'm not complaining - thank you, Allen!)

Haha! I'm touched that you guys think I've stumbled upon some secret that Allen hasn't thought of but somehow I think this was an active decision he already made.

PS: Yup. Five minutes after writing this and seeing such quick "Sign up now!" posts I joined.

Hi,

I can't point you to the exact thread but Allen said he didn't like the monthly subscription model.

The signup process is a lesson in itself, read all the copy and think about what's happening.

Really slick copy and worth the signup fee on it's own, let alone all the fantastic info and golden nuggets contained within the War Room.

I believe George is correct: Allen didn't like the idea of a monthly membership fee. If I recall correctly, it was because he didn't want to deal with having new content each month. The content in the War Room is supplied by members. A thread is only started if it adds value. (That is, the post that starts a new thread is moderated; responses aren't.)

Lots of great stuff in there... :-)

Actually there will be new content each month, I just don't like the pressure that a monthly membership fee causes.

As soon as this new forum gets lined out, and I can stop tinkering with it, I'll be adding stuff regularly.

For example, once Thomas get's done setting up the site I'm uploading an entire PPC course for people new to it. Step by step with pdf's and videos. This by itself is worth more than the current fee for the War Room..

The War Room is a bargain. There have been a few threads that were worth the entire cost by themselves. Go for it.

Hi Andy,

Firstly, on behalf of all of the members of the War Room, let me say this about suggesting Allen could be charging a recurring fee:

SHUT UP Before You Give Him Any IDEAS!

LOL - seriously, although there is a lot to read, it doesn't have to distract you. I skim through various threads for a few minutes every day taking down notes, grabbing downloads other members offer that interest me and so forth.

When I have time to sit down and really think through some of the info and notes I've taken, I can usually plan out a new project without interfering with my current one.

War room is by far the best "WSO" I bought because it's like getting unlimited flow of *free* WSOs at only $37
