Expectation and Listbuilding

I am trying to put together a metric goal for my listbuilding efforts.

My question is this:

What is the proper expectation to reach 1000 people on my autoresponder list?

Note: To those that say it depends on how you get your traffic and your conversion rate...I know.

Let's say that I am doing a combination of 1 solo ad every 2 months of 500 clicks and in between doing ad swaps, blog commenting, Social Bookmarking and JV giveaways.

I hope I can give a proper picture of what I am trying to do.

I am revamping my site because the way it is now sucks. I did a 500 click solo ad and I had 68 people optin and 25 confirm the optin with no sales to show for it.

    you could quite easily build a list of 1000 people into your business in 1 week

    buy a 2000 click solo ad or x4 500 click solo ads and if your squeeze page converted at 50% you would have 1000 new subs

    that would cost you around $1000 - $1500 though but with a oto and a good sales funnel you could make back 75% of that back if not more

    if your going to be using more free traffic then it will take a bit more time but it all depends on how much you do and how heavily you market

    if you havent built a list before my advice would be not to expect massive results because you will be learning as you go

    its really impossible to give you an exact time frame

    best thing to do is just get stuck in and work hard and make improvements as you go

    Thank you for the response.

    I am in for the long haul on this adventure because I am tired of the 9-5 rate race.

    What I am trying to do is figure out my daily work requirements. How much to do each day and which days to do what so that I can have a consistent effort.

    When you go into work, you already have your work lined out for you. I am trying to do the same for myself and hence I am trying to determine how long it would take.

    List building can be either fast or slow.
    If you use free traffic, it will take time to build a list of 1000 subscribers.
    If you pay for traffic, it's pretty easy to scale up to 1000.

    Anyway List building is fun, so I hope that you will enjoy yourself building
    a list too. What worked for me is being consistent in my actions.
    You dont have to have 10 strategies to build a 1k list.

    Just choose 2 to 3 strategies & focus on it everyday.
