Does it hurt a site to promote cb affiliate products on a niche blog?

Hi to all the members of Warrior Community:

I wanted to know if it hurts a site in terms of authority and search engine in the eyes of search engines.

After being suspended from adsense, I started promoting one of the health related products from CB on one of my closely niche related blogs and after 70/80 clicks I got a sale commission worth of $14.69 on 19th May. Now I'm so motivated and excited to promote cb products on my health related sites but I am quite scared of mighty G thinking if they find out about the cb affiliate product promotion and deindex my sites completely. Right now I get around about 70 visits a day free traffic on this site and I have other sites that get more than 100 visits a day free traffic.

I even tried other cpc networks such as chitika, adbride and more but those make me not even 5% of what I used to make with adsense. That's why I tried cb product.

Should I completely disregard what google thinks about the site and continue promoting cb products?

Nope, your "authority" won't be hurt. I'd recommend making the links nofollow and don't promote "junk", spammy-looking" products. Make sure the products will actually help the individual should they decide to purchase it.

It will absolutely not be hurt. You have to monetize your sites some way! And, using affiliate offers is usually much more effective than using Adsense (for many people).

Agree with Ross. As long as the CB products are good and useful to your visitors, then it's okay to promote them.

Make sure you keep posting great and useful content to your blog so it will keep seeing as authority and ranking worthy in Google eyes.

I think if it hurt that much there would be a ton of IM's on here who'd be struggling to make money, you should be fine!

  • No, but I would suggest your first build your list and then promote clickbank products to your list.
