Well, you did ask for the best. :-)

Actually, there are TONS of other freelance sites that may be almost as good as the ones already mentioned. Is there anything in particular you're looking for?

All of the sites have great advantages and disadvantages.. its sad none of them get it 1000% right, in 2012, with all the money they make...

Overall, after dealing with all the major ones... Odesk has the most traffic.. And thats who I used...

You can find good workers on each.. but it takes work just to find someone good.

I highly, highly recommend oDesk, it's great! At first, without any reviews, you will receive minimal pay for your work. However, as you become more established you'll be able to charge higher hourly rates.
I'd also suggest fixed price, not hourly. These article clients usually offer opportunities for more articles and to move to full time if you're successful with you work.
Most important tips: communicate with your client, meet deadlines and DO NOT copy things off of the internet (spin, copy & paste, ext). Failing to do any of these will greatly hurt your reviews and jeopardize any work in the future.

Go to this site http://youngprepro.com. I think the guy there is a real writer who shows real writers how to go about getting jobs online. He takes time to research out the best sites for freelancing.

Just navigate round the site, you will find enough resources there to help you.

Check out the "Warriors for Hire" section here on the forum. Always be clear about what you're wanting and the website you are promoting. Place a small order at first to see if you're happy with the writers style and research skills. Don't pay the cheapest price and expect to receive articles that will engage and hold the interest of your readers.
